The situation is certainly complex and has raised important questions about fairness in sports.
Anyone who looked at the Algerian boxer probably came up with view of "gosh that individual has male characteristics". And it turns out that individual is male. Did anyone watch the European U23 championship? And did anyone see the individual who won the U23 female 1500 title? The individual is from Turkey and has those same masculine characteristics. Not saying she is not female, just there are strong similarities. World Athletics needs to get busy with the swab genetic test soon.
