I can't tell if you are joking or serious. 9 minute pace is pretty easy for most of us but the cumulative effect over several days is what knocks people out.

After my epic run I FELT like I could have done a few more days just like it.
But in reality, it would have been different had I actually tried it.
I probably would have packed it in after only an hour!
Ambitious goals are great, but when they are completely untethered from reality they are just sad.
You mean like the "ambitious goals" of most posters on LRC thinking that they could become elite runners when they were in high school and college? That's "just sad" and "completely untethered from reality". Not anything different from Nedd except Nedd is succeeding.
I don't know if it's sad and untethered from reality. It depends on what the ambitions are and who you are. The goal to break the 1500m WR would be laughable coming from me. It's not laughable coming from Ingebrigtsen and half dozen other guys. From a high school runner it's highly ambitious (and they'll probably fail), but it's at least within the realm of possibility.
I'd never heard of the Nullarbor desert before, what a cool place to run!
Well, that's the coolest road I have ever run in my life. It's about 800 miles of isolated road with no permanent settlements except roadhouses and some gravel roads to remote farms.
If anybody has the chance, rent a car and drive from Perth to Adelaide. This stretch is in the middle of it.

...and what was yours? I think we might have some big dogs in here...
His current jogging laps are slower than yesterday, but he seems more purposeful. His biggest gains, or really minimising losses, will come from reducing breaks, walking faster, and if he stops playing with his phone.
He's losing about 5 hours per day, that will likely increase exponentially. By the start of Day 6, half way, he'll be starting -16 hours behind 100 mile per day pace.
If everything goes well, he could finish at about 13 days, which is better than I thought likely before this started.
13 days would be an amazing finishing time. But usually these stunt guys are not wired like that. He has booked this track for 10 days. That's probably it. With less than 8 hours to go for day 4 he has something like 80- 90k to go.

He's as stubborn as anyone I've ever seen. He has the best resources (money), but he is poorly prepared, lacks knowledge, and has a passionate but very weak support team.
He's still claiming on instagram that he can break the record. He's either playing the marketing game with his groupies, or he is completely deluded.
The best chance he has to complete this well, is to acknowledge Kouros's greatness and focus on executing his own capabilities.
It's impossible to tell with this silly "master lap" system. I don't think that 10k per hour seems a feasible pace at this point. He only pulled that off on day 1.

8min kms is his best 'master lap' elapsed pace in the last 2 days for today and most of yesterday. 21 hours is the best probable outcome today.

He’s still acknowledging there’s been people claiming he won’t get the record , which means he is either a) checking TikTok and letsrun instead of focusing on the task at hand, or b) it’s not actually him doing the Instagram posts
Right now, he is not even 40% into the challenge while obviously struggling.
If you are having problems in a Marathon at mile 10.5, how high is the chance of finishing at goal pace?
His timing team needs to be watched like a hawk. I checked in this morning and the first thing I see in the comments section is someone called CJ pointing out that the completed kilometres tally was too high and didn't match what he had been watching. Not long after that the tally is reduced some 20kms. He was the only one who noticed anything. If this person didn't point it out I wonder what would have happened...

They are incompetent, i don't think they are cheating.
