If you wouldn't keep going on and on and on about clear cut cases like Kiprop and Houlihan, and focus on the real close calls (e.g., Wilson + Lawson + Knighton + Asinga + Jeruto + Decker + Lagat + Bol), and not always argue in favor of the athlete, people might actually listen to you. See whaletail for example. But you keep sabotaging yourself with your trolling for the obvious cheats while blaming the scientists and experts - see your history of upvotes/downvotes.
And your passive-aggressive personal attacks and obnoxious self-praises of your "logic" don't help your case either - see your history of upvotes/downvotes.
In the end, almost everyone agrees with "Given what is at stake for athletes, anti-doping bodies must be held to a high standard.", but, then again, you are sabotaging your own message (if that really is your message, otherwise, keep going).
While I appreciate your attempt at giving me life advice, it is misguided.
I contribute to discussions in a discussion forum, by looking for and providing relevant facts and evidence and observations and make arguments based on what is known, without giving any consideration to whether some people are in a place mentally or intellectually or emotionally to listen, or any consideration of upvotes/downvotes. Given the many myths that surround the topic, I expect some people will not be prepared to listen regardless of how I package it, and I will get a few upvotes, and many downvotes, because the myths are popular.
In the cases where the WADA Code works against all athletes, I don't see how sometimes I can argue in favor of some athletes, and against others. I don't argue so much about which athlete is correctly or incorrectly found innocent or guilty, but argue against the bad science and the bad law and the bad processes, and the negative consequences on the sport. And when I see baseless attacks and wrong conclusions coming from the general public, I point out why they are baseless and incorrect. You may see this as always slanted towards the athlete, but it is slanted towards making statements based on the known facts and evidence and observations and pointing out injustices.
