If Coleman won the 100m, how would the US select its wild card for the 2025 world championships? My understanding is that both Coleman and Lyles would both qualify for a wild card, but only one could use it, as determined by their national federation. If say neither got top 3 at USA's next year (unlikely), then would the USA take which of the two finish higher at USA's as the wild card? Obviously doesn't matter at this point, but curious how that 100m upset impacted Colemans chances of making the team next year.
Battle for 2nd in the pole vault was actually pretty good. Of course, Mondo won by 11.5 inches...
If the 1500m goes out at 1:52 as planned, we could still see some faster times. A third lap of 55 followed by 39 would equal 3:26. If the weather isn't too detrimental, we SHOULD see a sub 3:30, right?

Surprised we got through an entire outdoor season in an Olympic year with high 801 being the world lead in the steeple. Nearly 10 seconds off the world record seems slow compared to recent times in the 1500, 3 & 5.
Been on something, I mean working on something, for sure.
14th in the OG final to obliterating the OC in the final 100m there.
Also what's up with the new era of Kenyan distance guys looking like little weightlifters?
Absurd commentary and I respect you . Guy has been excellent all year running numerous sub-8:10 times and ran his final in the semis at Olympics. He got jostled before the penultimate water jump and ran sub-60 pace from a full stop in the last 550 after literally going back to step over the water jump. He didn’t think they’d advance him and went crazy trying to get a big Q.
