The 800m this year is like the what happened with the 400m hurdles a few years ago, but instead of 3 guys stepping it up to a new level from the level it's been at in recent memory, its like a dozen.
That race was absolutely perfect for Hoppel. Brutal withdrawal.
Yeah it was - so bizarre to actually be there, to have travelled all that way across time zones etc etc....and then scratch.
As for Sedjati, like it is what it is. We've kind of seen it all now including the rocket boosters off the final turn in a sub 1.41.5 race now.
This messageboard isn't the only one noticing - the former head of sports marketing at a pretty large brand just made the comment it's time to "pull him from Paris" ^^
Says it all really...

People have started copying the training of Warholm/ingebrigtsen and most runners are taking Maurten nowadays. For instance, Kramer has improved his PB a lot this season, but he isnt on some new kind of PED.
I had Attaoui running 1:42 but 1:42 that low I didn’t expect. Pattison also a wow though I thought 1:43 was there easily. Cheminingwa is the real deal clearly, and Tual established he’s at a high level.
Typically when you run 1:41.61 you’re at a high level!

Yeah it says that if we don’t like the result, we will whine like babies.
