If the pacing target is 12:41 (maybe to beat the meeting record), then an even pace comes through in 7:36.6(2:32.2 per km). Still this, would likely be the second fastest start to a 5000m ever, and would allow the world record to still be threatened with a fast close.
Do you think that the race will actually go out in ~ 7:37? I could see 12:40 still being broken with a start as slow as 7:43. Still, 7:40 requires a 2k finish sub 5 which is just as dreadfully difficult.
How many break 12:40?
I don’t know that I see anyone besides Kejelcha running this.
