I think it would be great if the people tweeting about this, and everyone on this website did their best not to post the name of the kid. We know how the internet works, and kids don't deserve to get the online hate that comes their way just by competing within the current rules. Instead, replace the kids name with the names of the adults who determine the state sports participation rules. They're the ones who deserve heat for this, not some young athlete who's been put in an awful situation while the administrators hid in the background.

Interesting to see that the poster who goes by quickle/ prickle/fickle and other names has moved on from the standard ad hominem attacks, appeals to authority and peurile, petulant cries of "nyah, nyah, nyah" that he’s known for and has now graduated to balling up his fists, thumping his chest and simply asserting that “might makes right.” Yikes.
Everyone who's followed this debate on LRC in recent years is used to seeing posters like quickle defend their male-supremacist position about blokes in female sports and spaces by frequently harrumphing that an array of powerful institutions, corporations, bigwigs and everybody else they think is anybody all agree with them that males who say they have special gender identities are entitled to new forms of male privilege that no one else of the male sex class gets.
These posters repeatedly assert that the tenets of gender identity ideology are "settled science" and the matter of males being able to use gender identity claims to muscle in on female sports is all done and dusted. They tell us that all good, right-thinking, "progressive" minded people today are in agreement that blokes who say they have special gender identities must be given free rein to intrude upon, lord it over and stick it to females in sports, locker rooms and other spheres of life - and anyone who thinks this is unfair is a bigot, hater, phobe, imbecile and/or right-wing reactionary with backwards ideas.
These posters also repeatedly remind us that the bright lights and big brains in charge (most of them men) in institutions like the IOC, WA, NCAA, state scholastic sports commissions, the Biden Departments of Education and Justice, local school districts etc have seen fit to put sports policies, regulations and laws in place that say girls' and women's hard-won rights to fairness, safety and equal opportunity must now take a back seat to the demands of boys and men who say they have special gender identities - and they tell us, this for the "greater good."
They further assure us that these policies are now set in stone, so realistically speaking, there's nothing to be done about them - boys and men being given free rein to use gender identity claims to compete in female sports is the new normal, and girls and women and those who care about us - or about fairness as a principle - just better get used to it.
But the new position asserted by quickle that "society only exists for the believers" - skeptics, agnostics, heretics, infidels and all other unbelievers be damned - really takes the cake for audacity. And frightening lunacy.
The claim that “society exists for those who believe” in the same ideology as the elites in power - and nobody else matters- is straight out of the script followed by tyrants and totalitarians since time immemorial.
Given that most governments, legal institutions, powerful corporations and sports governing bodies in the world today are still run predominantly by men - and even in Western democracies and republics, men still play a disproportionately outsized role in making the rules in sports and all other spheres of life - the declaration that “society exists for those who believe” in the same ideology as the big guns, big swinging dcks and other head honchos in charge also sounds an awful lot like the sort of stuff said by the Taliban in Afghanistan, the mullahs in Iran, fundamentalist Christian religious authoritarians like the FLDS patriarch Warren Jeffs, and a whole host of other incredibly misogynistic men like Andrew Tate.

Sorry guys, I realised that I've been wasting everybody's time and energy. In truth, I've not got a lot going on in my life so I like to mess with the boards as it felt like it had some sort of purpose for me. Truth is, I've been struggling with my own identity and thought if I could convince all of you guys, I might be able to convince myself. I'm kinda lonely in real life. I'm sincerely sorry for the abuse and the names, and the constant seeking of attention and approval. I will do better.
