Ethiopian guy going for it although not part of the favourites. Liek to see this - no chance for him to win in the pack

CNBC is like the failed YouTube content for boomers. Ugh. These ads.
Throw hay bales and some water on course and call it cross country
Last lap is gonna be an absolute burn up between Kiplimo and Aregawi.
Kind of amazing that Nike allows the mud pit. Covers up the shoes.
Paula Radcliffe would put you to sleep
I think this is smart by the two Ugandan favorites to not go out hard. You don't want to misjudge a hot 10k. No need do. Do the bare minimum. I mean when Mo Farah won all those track 10,000s, did any announcer freak out when he NEVER led until the final 1k? Of course not. In fact, they would have freaked out if he was leading early.
I wish Jakob and his bros were racing, this is not terribly exciting. Womens race was better.

You don’t think Chep will be able to hang? I think Kiplimo is the favorite but not sure I favor Aregawi over Cheptegei for 2nd.
TBF to them, they probably had a lot less time to prepare for this than Australia did last year, since they took over from Croatia relatively close to the championships, whereas Bathurst had a lot of runway to prepare for the championships. So the course is nowhere near as elaborate as last year. The Aarhus course spoiled us...
Watching world cross and cranking morning beers never gets old.
We need those hay bales for NCAA xc. I LOVE IT. If you aren't athletic and it's not too crowded you can slow down and weave. But if it's packed, you better jump.
Izzo is going to be highly searched for all the wrong reasons btw she never looked comfortable losing ground with in the first couple hundred meters her split was equal to a 6 minute mile pace
How can Australia be ahead of the US in the teams race?

Cuz we aren’t very good at distance running in the first place and none of our top 5 guys even show up for this
Kiplimo hurdling those hay bales. Move him to the steeple!!
I hope the Kenyan men hold it together to win the team gold.

Great news for Grant Fisher???
Kiplimo doing the long run from home, which he should anyway - Cheptegei has a better kick
