I think she's probably still got a contract with them but that it doesn't cover XC or track/road races. The Nike (or maybe Brooks) Spikes she appears to be wearing definitely have the logo washed off of them, which is a tell tale sign of being in under contract with another company. I don't get why Normal wouldn't want to focus on XC, lots of amateur XC racers wear trail shoes at races, but whatever.

can you guys go and like serve your country, start a band, or read a book with all the free time you have to scrutinize a struggling woman trying to make the most with the cards she's been dealt by the running industrial complex?
stop engaging with her. let her make her youtube videos. get help.
Well Allie O just finished 4th at the USATF cross country championships yesterday. This qualifies her for the American team and an opportunity to compete at the world championships. So I think calling her “not talented enough” is just factually incorrect. Sure she may not be the best in America, but she has put up some very respectable trail running results this past year and finishing 4th yesterday shows that she still has the speed to compete with the best in the country. Also while it is true that white female women are more vocal about their eating disorders, it is a disgusting and incredibly ignorant take to shame them for being vocal and to say they’re the only people who suffer from them. I, a white male runner, have suffered with an eating disorder the last 3 years of my life and there are many others like me. I have started taking the path to recovery and so has Allie O. So I’m not really sure why her past struggles with an eating disorder are so relevant to you. Yes she has struggled with eating and she will for many years to come, but she has also proven that she is more than just an eating disorder and she has worked to better that aspect of her life. So to say that she doesn’t deserve to be a pro runner because of her past struggles with an eating disorder and because she’s just “not good enough” is not only incorrect, but it is also an incredibly disgusting opinion. People like you are why athletes are so hesitant to speak out about their eating disorders.
I am sorry for saying I hoped that you wouldn't make the team Allie O. I was just feeling down and the actual truth is that I'm a loser, and I thought your failure would make feel better about myself. I hope you have success in the future.
Sophia Laukli is a 2022 Olympian in Nordic skiing… so it isn’t like she is a casual cross trainer. Lots of high level Nordic skiers that are pretty great trail runners, as much of there off season training is running.

Lauki is the best climber in cross country skiing, winning decisively on the Alp Cermis climb of the Tour de Ski a couple weeks ago. That's the only mountain top finish in skiing.
Funny how many people downvote when an athlete from a different sport does well in running. The point is volume is volume and you don't have to do massive miles to be a great runner. Triathlete Morgan Pearson just came in 4th place at XC Nats, same place as Allie O did in the womans. Letsrun intelligentsia get anxious when crossover athletes do well. I guess if all you can do is run and only run to train and you suck at every other sport you get threatened when other athletes show up and challenge the massive miles per week dogma. '

So... it IS definitely confirmed that she's no longer with NNormal? Rojo's WTW article today states that she's "now unsponsored." And she doesn't have NNormal on her Insta bio, though I can't say I ever checked to see if it was there before.

Fake news. rojo probably only read the title of this thread and assumed that it was true because the OP didn't have a question mark in the title. Go back a page or so, and there are links to her literally writing that she was representing NNormal at US cross country.
