What XC meet changes their course in the middle of its races? Woodbridge is a complete sh*tshow. The race director is a beta cvck for caving in to the whiners.
If you claim your PR is from Woodbridge this year (or any year really), it is immediately invalid and you are a clown for even saying it. Lol.

Your PR in 3.08 mile races? Or 3.02 mile races?
Or 2.90 mile races. Who knows? According to the live results, the boys winner closed in 4:08. I guess anything goes at Woodbridge. We should just start calling the 1500m a “Woodbridge Mile”.

The 2 mile marker got moved from yesterday so the 2 mile split is slower and the 3 mile split is fast
Is Woodbridge not using CIF rules? I was just looking at some pics and I see girls with a bare midriff (heaven forbid!). As well as uniforms with no team name, Nike kit. Also possible some spikes out there?

No CIF rules. Tons of kids in Dragonflies and Vaporflies. I'd say 2/10 were in spikes across the board if not more. Tough course for spikes, heard lots of clack-clack-clack on the opening concrete section.

spikes aren't allowed. Are you sure they were wearing spikes or were they just blanks?
A lot of kids are wearing the dragonfly XC’s with the metal blanks, which I’m guessing still makes the clacking sound. The running shoe store told us Nike stopped making the dragonfly XC with the flat sole (no holes) just to accommodate the California market.
It quite literally was measured. It was wheeled to be 3.022,
This is some of the ignorance of people that don’t understand the work that is put in. GPS is not accurate, it was wheeled with a measuring wheel.
Wheel isn't accurate either and certainly not on an xc course. There is no hope of the wheel not bouncing and spinning in the air slightly (and frequently). That all adds up. Even hand wheeling a paved course takes some real diligence and concentration and will not typically yield the true distance in one go.

And still a slowly walked wheel will be 100 times more accurate then a GPS

Lots of pictures out there and I have yet to see any evidence of spikes. I heard the guys sweepstakes cross the pavement and yes the clack sound was there but from the blanks. Uniforms rules however, broken by several.

That is why good course measurement is done by calibrated bike. The weight of the equipment and rider keeps the wheel in firm contact with the surface under measurement, vastly reducing the up and down motion you mention, which is a real problem. The speed is kept low to allow for the rider to focus on maintaining a constant line along the SPR of the course. All grass and deform-able surfaces, such as grass, will have to be steel taped. And the measurement is repeated several times. And the equipment is calibrated that day for temperature as well.
It will never be perfect, it will certainly be very close.
