I don’t disagree that the second heat suited Monson more………but she did get dropped in a 15 flat race before the bell today so who’s to say she could’ve hung on to 14:30s post 10k.
I only say that because at USA’s she was pushing the pace at 14:55 and Natosha had to take over because she was slowing down. I just don’t know if she’s a doubler yet.
That being said, I think the final will be fast and suit her more so hopefully Alicia, and cranny of course, are ready to go!

I think she mostly got dropped because they were kicking fast, not because she wasn’t strong enough to hold a 14:40 pace.
Maybe she thinks the rest of the field will have weaker legs in them if they get pushed harder today vs her crazy endurance in her legs, so she's trying to get rid of some of their kicks today vs in the finals.
Maybe Hassan thinks she can wear out Faith. Does not seem like a sensible idea. Chebet go to cruise along in heat 1. Is Rowberry besides himself? Like if you were Hassan's coach wouldn't you be pulling put your hair?
Anyone else being told by their TV schedule that USA Network isn't going back to the meet until 6:30 Eastern? I really don't want to pay for Peacock just to watch the 1500 final.
