Studies done after that incident showed that the risk of certain heart defects in college athletes was 1 in 10,000.
A star basketball player died in Michigan in 2011 after hitting a game winning shots. The cause? Cardiac arrest associated with an enlarged heart (a known risk for taller individuals):
I'm for one sick of the recency bias. There were medical problems that were unsolved before COVID. Many of those problems are still unsolved. This is absolutely one of them. The people who are saying it must be the vaccine or it must be COVID are just showing their agendas while the rest of us are just living our lives.
Thing is, in the past, they almost always found the underlying problem and wouldn't let you back in the game until it was understood what happened. These days, it is almost always, 'we don't know what happened. all we know is it wasn't the covid vaccine. sure, you can play in tomorrows game'.
Take Reggie Lewis. He had an incident where he collapsed, but lived:
"A "dream team" of 12 cardiologists assembled by the Celtics' physician, Arnold Scheller, made a diagnosis of cardiomyopathy, an abnormal stretching or thickening of the heart that can cause it to beat erratically. The condition can be fatal if, during strenuous exercise, the heart pounds so fast that no blood enters its chambers at all. The cardiologists at New England Baptist stressed that their diagnosis was only a "clinical impression," in part because Lewis had built up an "athlete's heart," which is larger than average size and can mask underlying problems. About one thing, though, the doctors were clear: Lewis should play no more basketball."
Lewis shopped around until he found a doctor that said he could play and we know what happened then.
We'll see what the diagnosis is with James, but if it is 'we don't know, but it wasn't the vaccine', we'll know it was the vaccine.

Actually the only way you'll know is if he releases the medical records. He'll have million$ of reasons not to. All the COVID and vaccine warriors do have something in common: myopic living. The much broader view point here is that this happens every few years to basketball players bc of the known link between AFib and height. It'd literally been happening since the 1980s.

That is the point. In the past, the reason why an athlete collapsed was not some sort of top secret (unless it was likely drugs or something as with Bias). Today it often is.
What reason could there be for that? It couldn't be because of something that's been lied about since it was released.
More prevalent that CDC data would suggest. “Mild and transient” is the characterization, but we cannot possibly know that without diagnostic imaging and clinical observation over time.
Wait until these guys read about Tori Kelly's blood clots - they are going to be beside themselves with the joy after reading that "evidence".
No idea why anyone replies to these people, nothing will change their mind. They didn't get to where they are by intelligence and reason; how do you talk a crazy person out of crazy? You don't, you just walk away.
Recorded instances of complications resulting from vaccination are very rare. Much more rare than serious illness or death resulting from the contraction of COVID-19 itself and those vaccinated against COVID-19 tend to suffer from serious illness and death to lower degree than those who aren't.
If your peer reviewed research says otherwise, you can come back here to tell us about the Nobel Prize in Medicine they're going to give you.
But hey, enjoy that community you have, knowing that you're in the real know about everything and that it's only a matter of time before all the suckers suffer the consequences of the poison they took as gullible fools!
So you recognize there have been vaccine injuries and so were lying when you claimed it was a lie when I said that there were
The only truth to be found here - when there is big money at stake there will be deep lying. It’s true of the vaccine/Covid and fossil fuels/global warming. True progress can only be achieved when both sides see this.
It actually rose drastically in 2021, the 2nd year of the "pandemic". The year the jabs came out.
It was also was up in 2022 and is way up in 2023, years after the pandemic.
The establishment mixed 2020 and 2021 data together to avoid the conclusion that the jab was causing heart problems beginning in 2021 so they could blame it on Covid.
You have to dig into these things. They are liars.

Perhaps because weirdos online are obsessed with medical outcomes of teenagers and privacy is harder to come by these days?
I'm long past caring about covid discussions, but I have some questions.
In 2020, on NCAA athletes who'd had covid, and the link to myocarditis. The findings:
"In this cohort study of 1597 US competitive collegiate athletes undergoing comprehensive cardiovascular testing, the prevalence of clinical myocarditis based on a symptom-based screening strategy was only 0.31%. Screening with cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging increased the prevalence of clinical and subclinical myocarditis by a factor of 7.4 to 2.3%."
Have any thorough studies been done on the vaccine which can separate vaccine induced myocarditis from covid induced myocarditis? Further, do any of these studies posit an inherent difference between the two?
The incidences of myopericarditis after mRNA COVID-19 vaccination among adolescents aged 12–17 years were very rare; they were not higher than other important reference incidences.
Over 10 million doses of COVID‐19 vaccines based on RNA technology, viral vectors, recombinant protein, and inactivated virus have been administered worldwide. Although generally very safe, post‐vaccine myocarditis can result...
Objective To investigate the clinical outcomes of myocarditis associated with mRNA vaccines against the SARS-CoV-2 virus compared with other types of myocarditis. Design Population based cohort study. Setting Nationwide regis...
Compared with myocarditis associated with covid-19 disease and conventional myocarditis, myocarditis after vaccination with SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccines was associated with better clinical outcomes within 90 days of admission to hospital.
Rare myocarditis from the vaccines is much much milder than from infection.
See all those news articles (paid for by big pharma sponsorships to the big news corps) that came out left and right making excuses for increased cardiac arrest? Headlines included:
"Drinking tea may lead to increased chance of cardiac arrest"
"Too much sunlight may lead to sudden heart attack."
"Fast food may be to blame for increased cardiac events in young people"
Yeah, it's everything but that one thing. And anyone who Says it's that one thing should be canceled and censored, apparently. They need to censor because they're running from something--the truth. They sure are clever in their evil tactics and mind manipulation, I'll give them that. Vast majority of people would never know better and just eat up the paid off narrative. The evil studies human nature and psychology extensively to manipulate, groom and exploit it.
But this is the exact point. There should be a dozen articles suggesting something other than the vaccine before one article suggesting it was the vaccine. There's no conspiracy theory. There are so many different things that could have caused this. We don't know what caused this and we should be saying that we hope he's ok before launching into partisan takes that aren't rooted in anything. If there's something he can share about what caused it I hope that he opens up about it, given his reach.
There is no reason for basketball players to use steroids in this era of basketball. It's basically a non-contact sport at this point. Nothing compared to the 90s
