She's going to get a lot of attention on her return. And based on her actions the haters are not going to effect her, she wants to be a factor in her return. American women's marathon record will be her ultimate goal.
Are you seriously asking why people care that a banned US runner is breaking American Records in races while serving her ban? Approval or not doesn't really matter.
If she drops a sub-1:07 half I'll obviously have to change my mind but she's always looked built for middle-distance in comparison to her long-distance peers.
But I don't want to see her in road races and hoping the marathon majors reject her.
