Great run by Quarzo, surprised she beat Vestri. The top three all ran well.

Yeah, Vestri must have decided that final lap (when Quarzo ran 3 seconds faster), that she didn’t need to push it, she was already qualified. Take the podium spot and 6 points and call it a night.

Yep. That was a 14:40 paced race. This was a stroll in the park.

Great athlete !! Let’s please put this in perspective… this was basically a 33 minute progressive threshold run. Nothing earth shattering to see here.

I figured she'd win but thought someone might challenge her, at least push her, but nope, it was like she was running alone.

They asked her about the 5k in the post race interview and she said she something to the effect of, she was going to to rest up and 'if the team needs points you've got to show up'. So, I am guessing yes.

Sec women's 10k later tonight. Small field looks like Thorvaldson and points for ARK most likely. Better men's race w 27:50 Kiprop, but won't be fast.
