Saw that Twitter disaster on Twitter.
Literally anyone who has worked in tech could tell you this was inevitable when Elon slashed 90% of his staff based not on data, but on his gut instinct. The product doesn’t crumble immediately, but over time. This becomes visible first during periods of high traffic, and eventually those cracks become fissures that every user experiences on a daily basis.
Start hiring those “lazy” engineers back, before you have to declare bankruptcy dogebro.
He's nothing more than walking punchline right now.
The most disturbing thing today is the collective social media mindset and how one person can be turned into a Villian by the activists so fast or convince the masses that a man can be a woman just by saying so.
Elon accidently created a self-DDOS attack on Twitter. Might be the reason he has had to restrict reading (which reduces reach dramatically for advertisers). Some people I know have finally left Twitter the last few days.
Seems like a good day to bump this thread. Guy is totally imploding, let's see if Twitter survives 2023.

And today seems like an even better day.
Wow, is today a bad day for Musk or what?!
Seems that he has no shortage of shady practices following him. And today sees him being sued by the Securities and Exchange Commission nonethelss.
From the article:
"The S.E.C. contends that in buying Twitter in 2022, Mr. Musk violated securities laws by amassing a large stock position in the social media company without filing the proper notification. The complaint said he had waited 11 days before filing the required disclosure with the S.E.C.
The regulatory filings are required so investors in the marketplace can monitor the moves of large investors and potential takeover bids.
Because Mr. Musk did not disclose his position, he was able to continue buying Twitter stock at an artificially low price, the S.E.C. said in its lawsuit. The move “allowed him to underpay by at least $150 million” for the additional shares before he belatedly disclosed his stake, the lawsuit continued."
As a CEO of twitter, he has been a complete disaster. Simply slashing employees without regard to company needs was incredibly stupid and cost the company most of its value. As CEO of Tesla, he's driven the company to amazing heights and created the electric car industry but he was utterly incompetent at ramping up production and maintaining quality as the company grew. Demanding a $50 billion bonus is one of the greatest acts of corporate hubris ever. There's no correlation, even a negative one perhaps, between CEO pay and profits.

Nothing will happen to him, DOJ can't prosecute a sitting President.
