People are really still not done with the "she peaked" "she will not improve" "this is her max potential" "she will never have pro career" and more. Like it shows just how insecure and jealous you all are on Katelyn Tuohy.

She is and does, and Tuohy has run faster at age 20 than Schweitzer did at age 20. So what is your point? Based on that fact, one might say Tuohy can be as faster or faster than Schweitzer. Me? I have no idea. I think your 14:50 ceiling is not fast enough though.
The data indicates that Tuohy has a very slight chance of becoming elite. Those are facts. Facts shouldn't upset you. Enjoy her NCAA ride. It is a good one. It may come to and end though now that a faster high schooler has arrived in the NCAA.

the only thing the data indicates is that tuohy is a generational talent, got knee surgery and then won two ncaa titles the next year and the fact that she was able to run faster after maturing to a different type body says that she's not going anywhere but up!

Agree 100%. The impressive thing about Tuohy especially is that her body type changed completely (normally a killer for most girls), and the surgeries obviously hampered her training a great deal. Yet, she still came out faster than before. That points to a woman with amazing ('generational' as you say) running talent.
No hate on Cook - a big fan of hers too - she's incredibly talented also. However, she has some way to go to be compared to Tuohy. I guess the coming 1 -2 years will be very exciting!
Tuohy is one of the most humble runners I know, and is a very good role model to the younger generation. The people who follow the sport know that very well.
Tuohys 406 1500 would be good for 403 in a pro race... Considering she led from the gun honestly maybe even 402

Until other young distance runners show that they have the potential to go sub 4 in the 1500. Then I wouldn't consider them elite potential on the world stage for the 5k or 10k...Maybe some of the high school phenoms that are currently running fast at the mile will show better endurance but so far they look more like mile specialists...
Anyway, Endurance can only get you so far, unless you want to move up to the marathon you need speed even at 10k

Did you consider my posts on this thread? I bolded the section of your post, that you should reconsider in light of Sadie’s cross-country results.
Sadie has demonstrated great mid-distance results on the track. Whether she should remain there (like Coe), or be more of a 1500m-5000m type (like Jakob) remains to be seen, but the latter seems a possibility.
