I don’t think Tuohy is trying to make this team the best in the nation in 2025. He just wants his team to make it there that year. It’s cool that he’s trying to build a team that he’s already on to do it, rather than transfer to a national powerhouse. https://ny.milesplit.com/videos/580149/talking-with-north-rockland-guys But if you add Tuohy and younger Cantu to Newbury Park, this should win nationals in 2025, although they would not be as good as this year or last year.
Today Rosemount’s freshman-and-under class went: 17:45 - 8 18:03 - 9 18:03 - 9 18:06 - 9 18:35 - 9 but we can expect him to improve more than others considering his dad is the coach.
Becker high school (mn) freshman top 5: 17:21 17:26 18:05 18:34 20:22 Also a 7th grader who ran a 9:42 in the 2400. Not sure how relevant this is right now but he beat all the 8th graders on the team so he could maybe join those top freshmen eventually
North Rockland freshmen Tuohy 16:06 3 mile Claudel 16:47 3 mile Varieur 19:07 3 mile Picone 10:41 2400 Didn’t find anything on middle schoolers yet. Young kids better step up if Rockland ever wants to go to NXN. 5 nonsenior boys in the FM program is nothing to be fooled about. LOTS of 7th and 8th graders at FM.
