Cal Poly SLO is a good school for academics. But it’s the California state system with no money. I understand it’s not all about money, but they can not even compete with mid majors as far as money is concerned.
Vanhoy will develop the B class California kids better then Mark did. Just don’t expect a podium finish at NCAA’s anytime soon.

Who cares. It’s a sweet place to live and he will love it and get it done obviously. Who will be the staff around him?
While it's pretty clear that Vanhoy and his wife were a package deal and she will be taking over the women's program it is still kind of odd that Priscilla is still listed on the website as coach. I wonder if any SLO athletes have been notified... cause hopefully they all don't have to get their news from here!
If true, letting coach Bayley go is a big loss for the program. One of the better coaches out there.
Priscilla is terrific and motivated and the athletes love her. Was fortunate to have her with our group for a while and couldn't ask for anything more. Whoever gets her is pretty lucky. Has an eye on the big picture as well as the technical details.
