Ps: you not even bother to reading this whole thread shows how lax and careless you are about this forum. As long as you don’t agree right away you just don't care.
If you don't like the way this forum is run, start your own or shut the fvck up already. If you think you can do better, then do so, or just shut the fvck up. Most of us who visit this site are sick and tired of you a-holes who have nothing better to do than run the Founders down. If you don't like it here start your own fvcking running forum and see how much fun it is. Yea, right, you wouldn't even know where to begin.

You mad bro? You call yourself Happy Jack?
Even someone who uses the username HappyJack can get pissed off once in a while. I hope I'm not denied that privilege. I'm not mad. Dogs go mad. People get angry.
This is strawman deflection silliness, you defend the poor policies here because you gained attention through this site. If the intent is to be as low level and vile as twitter or Reddit then mission accomplished. But “where your dreams become reality” doesn’t quite jibe with that outcome. It’s been suggested thousands of times that most of the trash would easily get cleaned up simply by requiring registered login to post. It would go miles in the direction of leveling up discourse and curbing the implication that the brojos post criticism anonymously.
But by requiring a registered login, the trolling and trash would be reduced. If those aspects within the boards are reduced, then traffic would decrease to some degree. The clicks drive direction.
#1 reason Quigley doesn’t talk to LRC (despite any other good or bad reason she may have) is because she DOES NOT NEED TO. Running is a sport in which athletes have to promote themselves and her successful strategy doesn’t involve interviews with the BroJos or their representatives. Is that the wrong decision? I don’t know, she makes a living as a runner that she finds adequate and that’s the whole point right? Maybe she sees the site as petty, overly critical, speculative, etc. Who knows? It’s a fun place for many of us to chat about running and follow the sport, she’s decided it’s not for her. Deal with it.

I don't know. What bad is going to to happen to her if she does or doesn't do an interview/Q&A with LRC? Seems like we're talking about her now. Why not do a post race interview and let it go at that.
It's not like we're demanding she posts here. But something in the way she dismissed LRC, like she had first hand knowledge, made me think she might be a lurker.
Weird isn't it? The only running outlet that provides a platform for page after page of personalised abuse about her, that the site owners could stop in a heartbeat (but don't, because the clicks of maladjusted teenage boys are more valuable to them), and she doesn't want to talk to them?
Can you please show me the page after page of personalized abuse about her? This reminds me of the Leah O'Conner situation where if anything bad was said, it was deleted but maybe not before she read it.
We have a report a post feature and unlike Instagram which she loves we have a phone number where she can call or text us with any complaints.
I'm done apologizing for this forum , particularly to people who live on Instagram. Which is worse - allowing sports fans to talk about the sport they love and occasionally criticize pro athletes on a forum - or simply the creation of Instagram? For the last 20+ years, we've heard how the media and model industry has been bad for creating unrealistic expectations for what a women's body should look like. Well, Instagram is the 1985 SI swimsuit issue on steroids. So now the average person goes to the coolest place they've ever been and takes the greatest photo of their life, edits it with a filter and everyone else wants to slit their wrists because they don't look like that and their life isn't like that.
Rojo, I say this as the parent of a female college runner and the coach of multiple women running in college: the overwhelming majority of female runners completely refuse to visit this site and can’t even stand the mention of it. Quigley’s comment, however hypocritical it may be given her IG presence, in my experience reflects the views of the overwhelming majority of female runners. Take that for whatever it’s worth, and parse it however you wish, but the overwhelming majority of serious female runners won’t touch this site with a 10-foot pole.
She also tried to get Quigley but Coleen declined saying, "Sorry I don't talk to LetsRun."
I liked this mostly because you wear it as a badge of honor that athletes don't want to talk to you instead of asking why an athlete would say something like that in the first place.
Heat 1 1500 about to start. Heat 2 won by Rob Heppenstall at 3:37.51. Cathal Doyle of U of Portland, who didn't make the NCAA final, won Heat 3 in 3:38.63.
