I dunno , why don't you go ask them. We're having a discussion here about the transphobic article the brojos put out today.
You created the thread that got deleted saying NBC never fabricated the Lia Thomas photos. You are a paid shill for the leftists.
Wow....the whole world must feel like one giant conspiracy to you. If only they could catch that one single paid leftist shill starting all these threads, downvoting the brojos hundreds of times. That damn guy. That damn one guy.
I didn't start that thread. I don't think I even posted in it.
Do you not read your own thread? Or just being intentionally obtuse? Almost no one on here is saying Lia Thomas should be allowed to complete. But most seem to be calling you transphobic or in the very least, have very poor taste and judgement regarding this issue.
Why do you keep trotting this strawman out? Very few people on LRC think Lia Thomas should be competing against women. Most of us think you are being a transphobic a-hole with your approach to this topic. Is that not clear?
Wejo.....your silence on this is deafening.
Why do you keep trotting this strawman out? Do you really not understand from this thread that very few people on LRC think Lia Thomas should be competing against females but very, very many people think your 'joke' article was some real a-hole transphobic BS?
Are you really still unclear bout that?
If not......why pretend that you are?
Once again the brojos sling some baseless sht and then fail to have to courage to defend it.
Perhaps we should have written that article instead: "World Athletics says it is getting rid of women's category for sport."
Could argue it's more of an April Fools vibe to get the same point across. We talked about this on the Friday 15 podcast we just recorded at end. For everyone who is saying we're transphobic would they say anyone who says Lia Thomas shouldn't be allowed to compete in elite women's sport is transphobic?
Did you discuss with any LGBT people when you talked about doing this? Have any trans people appeared on your podcast? Have you invited any? Did you involve any women in your talks about writing the article? Have you spoken to anyone in the swimming world about Lia Thomas?
This.
I get that this topic brings out partisan takes but you can think that there should be competition categories based on biological birth without supporting the way this stuff is presented on LRC.
A lot of the posts critiquing LRC are focused on the impact done to the trans community -- they're not necessarily taking a stance other than don't spread hate. This will get downvoted by some who have a strong opinion about trans athletes but the above message should be a bipartisan one. Many of us are not telling you how to actually feel on who should compete when/where.
The way the Brojos harp on this topic & put every article on this topic at the top of the homepage is problematic. Look at how many posts have been deleted on this thread. The coverage & obsession over this topic is overblown. A lot of us are asking that this thread/initial article be removed & that the topic get covered less or covered in the right way because the way it's happening now invites more hate to a community that faces enough of it.
You have any political affiliation & still understand that the way this is being done is harmful. The Brojos are making it seem like there is a massive trans takeover of athletics. The reality is that we can only ever name the few successful trans athletes. The disproportionate amount of coverage those athletes get takes away from this being a much smaller problem when you take a closer look at things.
This isn't about saving women's sports. It never has been. This site has a poor track record with women. This is about making a boogeyman out of trans athletes. Maybe that's not the intent the Brojos have when bringing up this topic but that is the result. They simply don't have training on topics like this. I've proposed equity/inclusion type training in the past when they've botched issues on race and gender. To this day, it is unclear what qualifications or training anyone has who moderates these boards. You can't moderate these conversations if you can't understand how you are taking the conversations well past biological differences. You don't have to be a part of the woke mob (insert your favorite slang here) to see that. Enough is enough. This impact of stuff like this is harm. Stop defending that.
Once again the brojos sling some baseless sht and then fail to have to courage to defend it.
I'll defend it. I very much wanted to make one thing clear in the article.
A trans woman is not a biological female and I think elite sports should be for biological females. That's it.
I thought the most obvious way to do that was to point out that trans women are born with penises, will never have a period and will never give birth. That last sentence is a fact. If it makes you uncomfortable or if it upsets you, then that's on you as all I'm doing is pointing out a scientific fact. A trans woman isn't a biological female and female isn't just a 10-12% weaker version of a man. THE END.
At this point they are the drunk uncle telling racist jokes at the BBQ and not realizing how out of touch and unfunny they are.
Look at all the brainwashed college students defending madness here it’s insane. If you think that men should be able to compete against women then you don’t have children. You’ve never seen a group of five year old boys demolish an equivalently skilled group of seven year old girls in a soccer pickup game. It is a cruelty to women to allow men to compete against them in serious competition. The brojos are speaking truth through satire. Unfortunately the average audience of letsrun is college aged woke kids.
Literally everyone understands and agrees with this.
What people disagree is turning it into tasteless mockery.
Once again the brojos sling some baseless sht and then fail to have to courage to defend it.

No, the way you decided to do it was to write an incredibly unfunny op-ed, under the guise of April Fools, already the worst open mic night possible and what St. Patrick's Day is to drinking, If you actually had any guts or wanted to have a good faith conversation about it, you would have done something different, talked to experts, investigated it further, and held interviews.
But you don't, so you didn't. You instead wanted to make a bunch of stupid jokes, and cover your butt like a coward.
Once again the brojos sling some baseless sht and then fail to have to courage to defend it.

Your post doesn't refute anything I've said, in fact it just confirms it. So you predictably sidestep the entire topic of this thread and present yet ANOTHER strawman.
Almost no one in this thread is arguing that people born biological males don't have an advantage. There have been nearly 200 posts in this thread and 100 downvotes on your initial post.....yet almost NO ONE is claiming what you seem to be responding to. You keep responding to an imaginary horde of posters that think Lia Thomas should be able to compete against females. Read the thread. Are even 1% of the posts advocating for this? If not, why is this the point you guys keep responding to?
the reason you are being downvoted into oblivion on your own site isn't because peeple on LRC think males should be allowed to compete against females. Very few people are arguing for this.
You are being downvoted for your disgusting transphobic attitude presented on your site.
Maybe try addressing that in your response next time , rather than inventing yet another strawman to joust against. What's the point of that?
What people are responding negatively to on LRC is not your stance against transgender biological males competing against women, but your disgusting obsession with and tone taken toward transgenders on this site. Your article was an embarrassment to this site.
Once again the brojos sling some baseless sht and then fail to have to courage to defend it.

So what about Caster Semenya? Would you say she should be able to compete against women with no restriction?
She wasn't born with a penis... so your penis rule doesn't apply to her?
What about an XX female that has a penis but no testicles?
Who gets to be the genital police? Does every competitor have to line up and let a brojo inspect their genitals before racing?
Honestly, this is probably one of the most disappointing things I've read on the site, I get you were going for satire, but it seems very mean spirited and definitely had the tone of punching down. Definitely appealed to the lowest common denominator. I get that it's a complicated issue and at some point sports may need to address it, but right now its a couple extreme outliers that people for some reason feel the need to target.
Dozens of kids get shot in a school, let's do nothing, one transgender person wins a title and nobody is hurt, let's regulate athletics. Seems hypocritical

Some of the controversy here is that some men actually feel superior to women because men are on average superior athletes. So they love this issue and then they, feeling superior, feel they need to be the white knight to come to rescue the poor weak females from the “freaks” who want to compete against them. That is how many people feel. Clearly Wazzu1452 is one of them. I think 1452 is the year he wishes he had been alive.

And that’s been pointed out repeatedly in this thread. Acting like criticisms are addressed by saying “Women aren’t born with penises sorry not sorry #science” addresses this at all is a cop out.
