Too slow at the mile.
Too slow at the mile.
Leo Young and C. Sahlman at 7:35 with one to go
8:35:00
Everybody and their grandma under 9:00. Announcer said 25.
8:35.00*
quite the carnage after that race, half the field laying on the ground lol
Actually, my apologies. Lex Young.
8 under 8:50, 23 under 9, Leo Young at 9:02
a bit odd I'm disappointed in NP
Lex- 8:35.72
Colin- 8:34.99
Aaron- 8:48.28
Daniel- 8:52.19
Leo- 9:02.28
Glad the announcer finally realized that it was Lex instead of Leo.
Fun race. Wonder what happened to Leo. Splits were a mess the whole time. With an actual pacer Lex and Colin easily run sub 8:25.
Any “hot takes?”
Not surprising. Based on their last workouts they were running 1200s at 60,65,67 that’s not anywhere near what they needed to be at to challenge LV.

A “meh” day from NP doesn’t take away from anything they’ve done this year. 5 guys under 9:03 is incredible, but LetsRun will have you believe they $hit the bed.
I like how Lex and Leo always one up each other. There's no clearly better twin. One runs 4:00 and the other answers with a 8:35

Thanks for official results, I posted unofficial winning time without thinking
Easily run sub 8:25? I don’t think so

I think with all the build up a lot of people are disappointed. That first lap was too fast. Colin Sahlman looked tired, won on guts. Lex ran a great race. Leo was out of it. I wonder if he had a bug.

Shouldn’t be really, it’s hard getting pacing right. There’s a reason almost all of these new records aren’t being set in high-school only fields (or at least sans pacers). They went out 2-3 seconds too hard at 400 and from there clicking off 64s was gonna be darn near impossible.
