That's a non-sequitur. In Seattle, you had to show a vax card AND wear a mask to get in most places.
I live in the Seattle area and I have only shown my vax card once -- to get into Canada to ski in December.
Then you must not go out much. I don’t even go out much, but I’ve had to show my vax card to every restaurant that I’ve dined in Seattle. I’ve had to show my vax card every single time when my son goes to the indoor soccer facility to practice.
I don’t think I need to anymore since the mask mandate ended. I think the proof of vaccine ended as well.
Why would this be surprising to anyone? The virus didn't suddenly disappear. It is just starting to go away enough that govt feels it is getting safer to not wear a mask indoors. There are still several hundred Americans dying every single day of Covid (occasionally still over a thousand a day) and tens of thousands of Americans getting Covid every day. Of course anyone concerned about getting the deadly virus that is still very much going around is going to keep wearing a mask for a time. Smart people don't wear masks because they are told to, they wear masks to keep themselves and others safe. Only anti-maskers (people who don't give a damn about the well-being of others) don't understand this common sense logic. Anti-maskers are engaged in a culture war of stupidity, meanwhile everyone else is just living their lives trying to respect their own lives and the lives of others.

I'm out every day. But I don't think I have been in a restaurant in several years. That has nothing to do with the pandemic. My wife and I and our friends like to cook so we get together at each other's houses.
