Let's be fair, when a crazy antivaxxer tells us a bunch of conspiracy theory BS, we also generally dig our heels in and resist, do we not?
As logical people we trust the data and build our risk reward profile. No vaccine has ever produced long term side effects, only short term. And we know what those short term effects are so it's up to us to judge if it's worth it.
This is true, but mRNA vaccines are a new technology. And we are doing a bit of a mass experiment on all of humankind. There is no arguing this fact. History has shown us repeatedly that sometimes we think we understand something, but the world is complex and chaotic, and sometimes there are unforeseen consequences and sometimes our scientific concepts don't tell the whole picture.
Again, despite the above, I got the vaccine. But it has been interesting to read people's *serious* responses in this thread. I think it's interesting to hear people's honest perspectives. I wish we all did it more often.
