He is definitely not a prick or difficult to talk to. I can't think of a single coach who has shared his ideas more freely than Tom has. Is he confident in his coaching ability? Yes.

Regarding the role of the Hunters, I found Joan's comment interesting:

"Cory Leslie is currently providing the day-to-day coaching while consulting with Joan and Marc Hunter.”

I always had the impression that she was one of Tom's biggest boosters. Wonder if she feels like the student has surpassed the master now.

Drew is completely overrated at this point until he shows up on the pro stage.

Interesting move here from Tinman. We obviously do not know all the details. That said, I wonder if Adidas dumped him. This program has to be incredibly expensive to operate. Perhaps this is the end.

How are they handling the situation poorly? They had a parting of ways. There has been no public trash talking of the former coach (some anonymous posts here, but those could be from anyone). As far as the name goes--you would think that they will change that. However, what if they got the naming rights (trademark) to "TME" back when this thing was emerging? It's just a nickname that he gave himself, and he really wants to hold onto that. At the same time, they have also put a lot of effort into marketing of TME, and if somehow they have rights to use that then both parties will need to figure a way to make that split.

As far as previous poster saying the other athletes never paying a dime for 2-3 years of coaching, do you have proof of that. He's a bit of a hustler, and wants $200 month, whether you're a weekend warrior, high school hopeful, or post college sub-elite. Why go pro bono with that are vying to make teams and place high at national events? Do you know that as a fact?

Schwartz received zero from adidas ... the details are ..spoiled frat boys ruined the relationship, paid Tom zero, adidas paid Tom zero, mommy Hunter meddling with her man-child’s professional athletics career, frat boys paid Tom zero. This. There are no secrets. Tinman was recycling Jack Daniels' training anyway. I can't believe people put down money for this crap.

They aren't the same. Lydiard was a bit of prick about training. He believed strongly he was right and wasn't a afraid to say it and cut down others. Everything I read said he was a great guy. People have told me AlSal is a great guy. But as a coach he was a dick. And so on.

Without details on what was going we are guessing. People refer to tinmans coaching no elites as a side hustle. Nah that is the business. The elites are the side hustle/advertising expense.

Personally doing this change like 8weeks before the trials is nuts. But again we have no clue what is going on.

When is Tinman Elite going to acknowledge this? They still haven't acknowledged that the "HUGE NIGHT FOR THE STEEPLERS" they were bragging about was due to a misplaced start line.

Way too much bloat and dead weight in that group, anyone currently 15+ seconds slower than Drew's PB in the 5K or 4+ seconds slower over 1500m should be cut or put on a jayvee team.

It sounds like he wasn’t getting paid crap. Is Schumacher or AlSal working at a teacher? No they were probably making 400k. Total guess on the salary but you get what you pay for. If your coach is working a side FT job you don’t get full attention.

This is correct. LOL that mummy thinks she’s a better coach than Tom. They f***ed him over real good.

I don't know if your coach is good or not. there are some bad ones. I take pride in what I do. If a kid is practicing on his own, he's not running with the team. I would make exceptions. If I had a kid who was better than 4:10 in the 1600, I could probably call it justified. Though I also believe I could train that kid to get better.

Events like hurdles, field, etc., I'll let any guru come in and work their magic. not my area.

Yeah this^, for the social media gurus these guys have been they couldn’t have flubbed this up worse from a PR perspective so far. I guess they are working on their announcement, perhaps it strikes the right blend of appreciation and rebranding to change the tide. These guys are some real hax if you know what I mean.

We had a previous individual state champ join our team and quickly his daddy had input on what his sons training should be. Our coach told him to stick it where the sun don’t shine and that kid was gone before the season even started. We won the state championship without him.

In the process of pitching his coaching services, he claimed to have "designed" my alma mater's (one of the most successful DIII program) training program, which I know to be at best a gross exaggeration and at worst an outright lie.

Apparently, according to this brain-genius, minds are not part of bodies. He's right when he says he hasn't "the foggiest idea".... and ironic in it's acknowledgement of ignorance.
