Funny to see so many posters heralding this freak show of a record. Reminds me of when Lance was on a tear, and this forum was full of gleefully credulous idiots who were unable to see the glaringly obvious, as they were too enamored at the result, like gleeful school girls.
Anyways, congrats to the runner and his Doctors. Despite it being a complete farce, it is still impressive. But let’s not pretend it’s in anyway “real.”

I would not call that "ok". It was pretty far from ok. But amazingly he still finished. This could be great for a movie actually. Runner struggles, fails, but then overcomes everything and gets the world record

He absolutely went for it in front of his home crowd against the untouchable at the time over XC- Geoffrey Kamworor. It was amazing. He went in over his head and when he finished it was like Jesus Christ finished as the masses swarmed him and carried him off the course. There was so much energy in the air that day.
How many times have we heard that.! Because the number of East African runners being busted has made it obvious that you need more than altitude to run that fast.
Once they improve testing in Botswana like they did in Kenya you will see the same thing happening.
