Did cold weather peeps have a slight advantage today?
Check out Reid Coolsaet with a top 10 finish, nice splits, claims he hobbled in last 10K (5:30->6:30 pace)

Is it just me, or is it taking forever to see any sort of articles/interviews or even quotes from any of the runners today? Brojos - where you at?
Had this same question. It's like the top 10 came through and then everything just shut off.
Sad!

More on Sarah Sellers... this was only her 2nd marathon!
The Boston Marathon was just Sellers’s second marathon. The first was the Huntsville Marathon in Utah, her husband said.
She didn’t know that she placed second in the Boston Marathon, he said, until someone informed her after she crossed the finish line.
“Someone had to tell her, and she still didn’t believe them,” he said.
According to The Running Shop in Tucson, Sellers popped by in February to buy her running shoes before the race.
The pair she ended up buying? New Balance 1400s — for a relatively low price of about $90, according to Geoff Schmidt, a shoe fit specialist at the store.
Lucas Tyler, a manager at the shop, said Sellers was very nonchalant while talking about prepping for the Boston Marathon.
“She made a comment that she was going to Boston, but she kind of made it sound like she was just going to run Boston, that this wasn’t a huge deal,” Tyler said. “She said 2:45 [two hours and 45 minutes] was her PR [personal record], and in the past, with 2:45 you have been able to place pretty well in Boston. We were like, OK, what is she talking about? I mean, 2:45 is fast.”
Tyler also said that Sellers appeared to take training very seriously, but her tone was light in the store.
“She was very casual about it, not in your face bragging,” he said. “She was just excited about going out and running.”

Look buddy, you're gonna need to get out of here with your clear-headed, unemotional analysis of this racing scenario.
HaHa! That cold analysis was devoid of passion, huh?
But make no mistake about it - I was enjoying this one as much as any marathon in a long time. I was laughing for joy in that way where you're almost breaking down in tears at the same time when those two blue collar grinders fought back from way off the lead and toughed it out for the thoroughly-deserved wins in that horrible, cold, wet headwind! What a race!

So is she, or is she not, eligible for the prize money. Did she start in the elite corral?
Anyone record the race?? This is gonna be one to rewatch

Watching Yamauchi run is the most beautifully painful thing I've ever seen. This guy is awesome. Rupp is done thank God.
He runs like a man with a knife stuck in each shoulder, and he's trying to shake them free.
Which is how a samurai would do it; a knife stab destroying an arm when doing battle; it's only a flesh wound.

she has anything but thunder thighs.
In a side-by-side pic of an typical LRC poster Desi would look tiny. The poster would have a super wide-load behind.
Gonna be an interesting race at London.
Sage, Jim Walmsley and Kilian Jornet all going for their OTQs.
BEWARE-- Wide LRC posters ahead. wrote:

Which is why I was laughing at people commenting on her thunder thighs, so much talk about her thighs early in the race

Yeah, but they'll all be 10 +minutes behind YUKI!

I think Kilian will be an especially interesting story to watch, seeing how he broke his leg a few weeks ago. He ran Hardrock with one arm though, so since that's so much more challenging, London should still be easy with one leg.

Yes, that's what I said. Thank you for agreeing.

Honestly could see Walmsley going sub 2:10, the guy is quick

Yes she is eligible for the prize money as she was in the elite corral. Search her name in the link below. Nice $75k for her.

That is by far the cheapest thing i've heard. I understand their reasoning (to prevent people from cheating) but it's 2018, have they not been able to figure out a foolproof way to prevent cheaters? What a load of commie crap.
The right thing to do for the B.A.A. would be to stick to their payout schedule/rules (i.e. 6th place overall/5th place elite gets 5th place money and so on) and on top of that pay the 15,000 USD to that top mass start finisher.

Pretty sure Killian broke his leg or something. Definitely NOT running London that's for sure.
Meb- Half: 01:30:35 Finish Net 03:00:13
Not too shabby. I'd like to hear his reflections on the race.
He was pacing for charity I think. He said a month ago he was going to run 3 hours and he ran bang on 3 hours. Started in Wave 2 or some such?
