They will be announcing their decisions soon. Buddy of mine applied and got their application passed on to the hiring manager only to be told they had made their decision weeks ago. Hopefully they make a decent choice, cuz they're passing over some highly qualified candidates.

I thought it was common knowledge at this point that Kevin Jermyn was returning but I guess not

If this is the case., it will be the best hire for the program.
It’s a common theme on here to think everyone speaks so highly of themselves when we see these posts. Instead of believing that their peers in the industry are the ones speaking up and giving them credit. Your comment alone tells me you have not met the man nor do you have a place in college coaching.
The purpose of the Assistant Cross Country Coach job is to ensure University assets are protected through adherence to applicable external and internal regulations and appropriate external representation of ULM Athletics

Keep your accusations of a coach to yourself. If you are going to talk about a coach like this state your name! There's no need to do that! Careers can be ruined by people like you hiding behind a computer and dragging someone's name through mud.
Both UL Monroe and LATech cross country jobs open. ULM is probably the better distance team, currently, but which of these is a better position?
Probably Monroe.
Easier conference in XC. Significantly better academic money, Ruston is in the middle of nowhere so you'll probably be living in Monroe/West Monroe anyways.
Tech funds the athletic department better but has never filtered down to the track program
why would FSU hire Ken or anyone else from the outside when they have coach on staff that is one of the best in the world already. Matt Kane deserves this and should be given a chance. Just a logical option IMO.
The reason that they should hire Ken is because they want to be relevant again. When FSU won national titles ken was a huge part of that. When Tennessee was 3rd indoors and 3rd outdoors Ken was a huge part of that. He ain't messing around at Auburn either. So to answer your question? Matt is not Ken Harnden! Don't get it twisted. Matt is a lightweight compared to ken. FACTS!!!
