So many folks in this thread are partisan hacks. Look, sexual harassment/assault/pedo stuff is flat out wrong regardless of whether the perp is a D or an R. It was wrong when Bill Clinton did it. It was wrong when Clarence Thomas did it. It was wrong when Harvey Weinstein, Anthony Wiener, Dennis Hastert, Kevin Spacey, Al Frankenstein and—yes—Roy Moore—did it.
Are any of you capable of taking an ethical stand on an issue and then sticking to it even when the perp is someone that has similar political beliefs as you?
All of the above perps should be punished for their actions. This means job loss, resigning your position, impeachment, dropping out of a political race and possibly jail time depending on the situation. Why is this so hard for you political hacks to understand?
Are their any Ds or Rs out there who can be consistent about their views on this issue regardless of the political implications?
I agree with all of this. I'm not about to defend Al Franken or Bill Clinton.
Trump got his accusations in right under the wire (before accountability really began to take off with Harvey Weinstein). It is weird beyond imagining though that people still voted for him after 13 women came forward with those accusations, he was heard bragging about it to Billy Bush, and he had affairs on at least his first two wives (now speculation he is having an affair with Hope Hicks). All those accusations against Trump are bad, but he is still a much larger danger to the world as the President of the US, so he needs to be kicked to the curb (or prison) soon...and he will be.
