Can we not compare teams based on times? Some regions run really difficult courses and others don't even run the 5k. California's only 5k woodward park, is essentially a rolling hill course.

barrett said in an interview the course is the fastest they run but still not easy. had 3 guys sub 15 yet got 184 for both there sub 15 gusy and 191 for barrett- definitly very under speed rated but lets see on the 7th.

Gavenas is double entered.... can be done but I would not advise it

Belen Jesuit put 6 under 15 and won 3A.

Buchholz won 4A after being 15th at the mile. First state title in a long time. That’s the team that won the indoor 4xMile last winter over Herriman (when they had Riley Smith the 4:02 miler). Good redemption after taking second in XC in fall 2023

Sykes/Conley should have SR's over 190. Gotta wait to see how Furman does in the class d race although he has no competition so idk if the time will be that fast. These 3 are NY's clear individual favorites. Sykes is only a soph too.

CBA crushes their CR from last week at NJ MOCs. Looking forward to the speed ratings on this one.

These are incredibly impressive. Blew away last years times.

A podium spot at NXN is going to be a dogfight.

nxn podium this year will be more competitive last year. Last year was already more competitive than it has ever been. This year takes it another step ahead of that.

They could possibly all get in but we’ll have to see how the rest of the regions play out first. 2 Southwest at larges is a lock though

No way. Rocky only gets third because Tostenson blows up. Crater handily beats them if he’s even a 16:00 boy today. Rocky’s best win outside of Crater is who? Helena, who was 5th here? Great Oak, who was 8th at Clovis?

If Crater beats Rocky, Crater goes. Neither team makes it in this way.

Seems like at-larges outside of the 2 Southwest teams are pretty wide open now.

There are 7 regions left and in some of those regions we could possibly see some teams without wins over autoqualifiers getting 3rd place.

I think they take a look at strength of the regions too (New York doesn’t get any at larges because there aren’t any national caliber boys teams there)

We could also see a scenario where Rocky gets one and Crater does not get one
