I have no idea, but it wasn’t Giuliani and Trump’s sons are fanatically loyal to him. The information the informant provided to the DOJ was accurate so I don’t particularly care who the snitch is.

I happen to know that Melania was none to happy when Don had the contractors re-do the remodeling work she had done at Mar-a-Lago without his approval. Payback, perhaps???

Why wouldn't Don Jr. be allowed at Mar-A-Lago? I've never heard of any conflict between Trump and Don Jr.

They absolutely did have to reclaim the documents, but I want the DOJ to take the best path possible that will result in Trump being banned from politics.

The fact pattern in this case is pretty simple, hard to spin, and will hurt him with non-cult voters he needs to win an election. If you think any criminal case will change the minds of the dead-enders, you will spend the rest of your life waiting for that to happen.

This post right here illustrates the power of Fox News. He truly believes that Trump was a guy lifting up and empowering the "little guy". At the same time they have handed out trillions in corporate welfare under the guise of Trickling down the little guy and helping empower them with jobs.

The DOJ follows a tradition (which is not included in any written DOJ policy) of not taking public action in a politically-sensitive case in close proximity to an election. Depending on who you ask, this unwritten policy means that the DOJ will not indict a case (or otherwise make news) within 60 or 90 days of a general election. The search warrant was executed at Mar-A-Lago 91 days before the midterm elections on November 8.

Regarding the identity of the mole at Mar-a-Lago, it could have been any of a number of people.

But I'm trying to think of who has the greatest motive for ratting out Trump.

In my mind, Melania seems to be the leading candidate. It has always been reported that she hated being first lady and this would help make sure she isn't forced to go back to that life. It was also reported that she renegotiated her pre-nup before moving into the White House. So she might be in a very good position if a fraud conviction gives her grounds for divorce.

Garland saying he will pursue justice without fear or favor, and reality, are different things. A trial over the classified documents will be extremely divisive and it will be hard to get a conviction.
I would rather he pursue charges for 1/6 as the evidence against Trump is rock solid. Even if there is a 5th Avenue juror that causes a mistrial , the combination of evidence presented and Trump not testifying, will be damning

I don't think it has to be and either or.

It may be that the evidence here with the stolen documents at his Florida residence is rock solid also. The warrant shows that Trump (most likely Trump...technically it COULD be someone else at the property, but let's be serious here) is being investigated for three named things (AND, apparently not all things had to be listed, so it could be more...and some have already said likely more):

Obstruction of Justice - This seems pretty much a slam dunk to me. He was issued a subpoena, and he did not comply. This isn't a subpoena from The House, this is one from the Department of Justice. Can't do that.

Violation of Espionage Act

Removal or destruction of records

I'm not sure yet how they all line up to the above, but the three Federal Laws cited are:

18 USC 2071 - Forbids hiding, removing or destroying classified material.

18 USC 793 - Forbids gathering or transmitting defense material.

18 USC 1519 - Destroying or falsifying evidence in an investigation. This is the one that some experts have expressed surprise at and the one that tells them that someone close to Trump must have snitched.

He should be treated as anyone else would for doing this. Indict him for those things. Indict him for Jan. 6 involvement. Indict him for anything he is guilty of. He's a serious danger to our country, and there needs to be justice here so that no one does this kind of crazy sh!t again. I hope he's under surveillance now. I would find it hard to believe that he's not.
