We call them Trump's base.

I am beginning to look at right wingers MEMEs a little differently. I primarily thought of them as little gotchas that they get a kick out of so they cut n paste them here to own the libs.

But I think it is more of a Trump like situation. Many Trump staff members have told us that Trump does not read and has an attention span of about 30 seconds. So they needed to essentially teach him about critical national security, economic and domestic issues in short spurts with single page pictures, flash cards and drawings so he would get it. They had a few minutes before his mind wandered to something else. Typically his love of himself.

I am convinced that our right wingers are getting their full knowledge on any political issue in a similar manner from these right wing Memes. They need the quick cartoonish pictures to understand what it all means because like Trump they are slow on the uptake. That is why they have such a basic and superficial knowledge on any issue and all issues are black and white with no nuance.

MINOR good news, perhaps. While it's true that, unlike last time, Trump and his supporters had 4 years to plan this catastrophe, and he has virtually no adults in the room, and the power of the office and their determination to do harm means that very bad things are and will be done, I think that the very understandable fear that this time we'd see much more COMPETENT badness is being shown to be at least a bit overblown (thankfully).

Trump is as dumb and undisciplined as ever. And regardless of how many competent people they've been able to attract (I really have no idea what the competent/incompetent ratio is?), the fact that he's leading the show will pretty much ALWAYS mean that LOTS of stuff will be done incompetently.

You know you're living in great times when you're praying that the president will be incompetent.

Let me see if I can re-phrase your question: Am I and other decent Americans going to spend at least the next 4 years asking each other, "WTF is going on?" And, "Does it look better, or worse, today?"
