For Mimi, I still see breadcrumbs and I see a max speed of 7.56 mph this morning. In her afternoon run, her max is 5.64 mph but she just started.

I really hope that if or when Mimi gets to the east coast there's a full release of anything from her and her team that could be used to back up a record claim but equally could be used to incriminate: Dumps from all devices, any photos/videos taken during the attempt (not just of the attempt), witness statements, gas receipts for the support vehicles, log books, perhaps transcripts of emails/SMSs discussing the Racedrone tracker error? I'd like to hear more from 'Mr Racedrone' too about what went on there.
'Proof' is going to come down to balance of probability, as it always does.

I think that was just her normal break. We should be able to calculate the distance from where she started and where she stopped on the map today. That number should equal roughly the same number of miles as on Strava and the Garmin.

Yep, I think both are legit! Unfortunately we'll never really know about the first half.
Mimi hasn't gotten a hold of how to use the Garmin yet. Several hiccups so far. But it appears that:
Morning Run: 31.52 miles, run in 7:34:15, with a pace of 4.16 mph.
Afternoon run (so far): 2.74 miles, run in 0:38:15, with a pace of 4.30 mph.
She is slower than prior days.
We also don't know how any of this will affect GWR's validation of any transcon record claim. After all, they are Guinness World Records, not Let's Run World Records, or Ultra Running Community World Records.
I don't know if their qualifying criteria for proofing an attempt are public, having only read what Mimi mentioned in that interview way up there ^^

Right, I think we're saying the same thing. Those "ons and offs" were during that time period. Zero miles traveled. I think that was her break.

11:25 am is after her break which ended at 10:58 am. She seems to be fiddling with it while she runs. Best to leave it be.
