That leaves a lot of very very powerful people and organizations being stabbed in the back by DJT. They will be letting their views be heard in the Oval Office very shortly. In short, trump is messing with a man's livelihood. If you are old enough to remember Risky Business.
My guess is that next week or the week after that DJT will declare victory in one of the made-up national emergencies he's declared to seize power, and things will start getting back to normal.
Agree with all but the last paragraph. Chaos and pain for the people are the plan, not a side effect. Trump will placate the billionaires short term, assuring them the government is being fully rigged for them to steal whatever they want without any chance of being held to the law. They will support it. The people will be screwed.

Sure. We all know the market will rebound as soon as fat orange man is out of office. Trump is the sole reason for the recent drops in the market, and none of his so-called policies will do jack sh*t to promote investment in America or growth of American companies. There’s no reason for the market to rebound as long as Trump is in office, proposing (or canceling) tariffs on any given day based on how many time Melania farted on him that day.

Trump really wants the Fed to drop interest rates. The tech bros really need lower borrowing costs because a lot of what they do using a lot of leverage to bridge their companies from concept to bringing a product to market. The real estate industry also really needs low interest rates. And the crypto bros also benefit from low interest rates because a lot of the arbitrage in crypto is built with borrowed funds.
I also think that Trump is being fed the same old austerity BS that has doomed many a world economy. Trump believes that government spending displaces private actors in the economy. By drastically reducing government spending, private enterprise will magically step up and invest trillions, sparking a "golden age" for the US.

After a 6 week review we are officially cancelling 83% of the programs at USAID. The 5200 contracts that are now cancelled spent tens of billions of dollars in ways that did not serve, (and in some cases even harmed), the core national interests of the United States.
