Those "official" numbers are grossly overstated. You do realize this right? The practice of over counting and mis-attribution is well documented.

I don't even know why I'm bothering to report misinformation or post counter arguments on here to debunk misinformation, false information, etc. The mods are right wing lunatics who will lap up any "evidence" that proves their bizarre, dogma-driven belief that this is "just the flu" or that less than 61,000 people will die or it's an engineered bioweapon or 5G causes coronavirus or death numbers are inflated or hospitals are empty or hydroxychloroquine is a magic cure or Trump was actually citing scholarly literature when he suggested injecting disinfectant.

This is evidence that critical healthcare activity needs to resume, not that coronavirus deaths are being overcounted.

I though healthcare errors was the leading cause of death????

For somebody who claims that all of the mainstream sources of information, including media and public health officials, are biased, you sure are awfully touchy about people looking at your sources of information...real estate agents, anonymous architects, neonazis. We all know those are the real sources of truth.

"Deniers" was in response to someone else referring to others as "doomers." But, yes, there are plenty of deniers ignoring reality. Many of us have already become numb to the growing death toll, a number many of the deniers, just weeks ago, thought was absurd, yet they continue to shift the goal posts.

I have posted numerous times that I understand the debate about the cost to the economy. Unfortunately, I haven't seen much recognition from the "deniers" about the reality of COVID-19 from a public health perspective.

wejo, try your numbers in your calculator again.

My calculator has 12,000 of 8 million population of NYC = .0015; .15 of 12,000,000 = 1,800,000, but I went to a public school so I could be wrong??

I believe that the final death count may even go beyond the 6 gorillion

Well to put it another way, .0015 of the entire population dead is 1.5 people dead for every 1,000 NYCers. Probably will bump to 2 in every 1000 or above by the end. Seems like a lot to me.

I meant to type .10%. However almost all of the covid19 stats include deaths that were from other causes, not covid19, yet were listed as covid19 because the person appeared to have or might have had covid19 symptoms.

Only actual causes of death should be listed as causes of death, so any stats where covid19 was not the actual cause of death should not have been listed and almost all of them have done that.

Yeah he may be off by several thousand, but I'm way more impressed by his prediction than the experts that were predicting millions of deaths in the U.S. I personally do not know a single person that has been sick , or has died from this virus. Had the experts been correct, I'm sure I would have known some or been one of them.

The mistake you are making is that you’re confusing potential deaths without action. I know multiple people who have has the virus and one who has died.
