Care to reword this sentiment?

What a race and exhibit A as to why they're run.

Desi's comment that she felt horrible the first 2 or 3 miles and might drop out later was amazing. Yuki's first mile and his growing confidence before the race that the weather was going to be so crappy is the ultimate running story.

Whey they panned back to Yuki after Desi's win and I saw what looked like Kirui's white parachute behind him I've never been so shocked watching a race.

Good point both winners are powerfully built........not running skeletons

I'm a running skeleton, and have raced well (Up to 20 miles, anyway) in these conditions and worse. You just have to dress for it - duh.

The word "COLD" is banned from use in all weather broadcasts nationwide. You should know this. How does this look when its reported this is the coldest Marathon in last 30 years! You should all be thrown out of office and sent to the gallows. Where is my GLOBAL WARMING!

I knew I'd end up vindicated. Take that rojo!! ;)

If Yuki doesn't keep the pace honest early on, he probably doesn't come back from the dead and win it in the end. Shows what the announcers know criticizing him early only for everyone else to run out of gas. Still shocking to see Kirui fall off so bad, but hats off to a former champion for sticking it out to the finish line after being passed and clearly running on fumes. If he's the only E. African to finish, then he deserves just as much credit as Yuki does.

Jessica Chichester from the mass (non-elite) start has moved into 5th place overall in the women's race.

The USA now has 7 of the top 8 women.
