silly question, what do the gold boxes in the "splits" tab of the timing site indicate? It's not the leader at that point or the fastest split. I can't figure it out...
I think we are all waiting on a report from Rich Gonzalez.
Per Rich Gonzalez @PrepCalTrack Defending state champ Evan Noonan of Dana Hills was devastated no-show for today’s @CIFState Boys 3200 race, suffering from a severe stomach flu throughout the day. Unable to even keep water down. #HeWillRiseAgain 12:53 AM · Jun 1, 2025
Noonan didn’t look the healthiest this season. I really underestimated Turk. If he can outkick a fast miler like Pretre, he really is a good talent. Is it just me or does Turk look like a marathon runner. Looking forward to how he does in the 10k next year.
I think it's safe to say that Antonio and Lott will have a great battle next year. It's hard to say if anyone else will be close, especially if zavaleta focuses on the 3200m and the jesuit boys don't improve soon, but there's always some new guys that pop up.
There’s also a junior Noel Huato who ran an 8:57 and finished right behind Zavaleta.

My prediction is that in college, we will see Turk perform better the longer a race distance is. The same for Trey Caldwell.
