Why exactly is it harassment to issue a warrant and go get the materials if the govt has been asking for the documents for 2 years and Trump has failed to fully comply? That’s the opposite of harassment. They had been giving Trump too much deference. Also, none of us actually know the timeline. Maybe it was only very late in the process that an informant tipped off the DOJ that certain types of documents were present, and now the matter went from being a nuisance to an urgent matter. I don’t think we know one way or another. Finally, thanks for your long and detailed treatise 999 on why your angry at the prior democratic administrations and feel betrayed, but none of that is even slightly germane to whether or not Trump committed a crime. I’ll close in saying, I think Trump’s comments indicate he’s more worried this time than usual. In the last week we’ve heard that the documents were planted, that Trump didn’t know they were there, that Trump declassified them, that Trump was cooperating and in the process of returning them. All of this tells me he’s nervous he got caught doing something seriously wrong this time.
