2. THIS right here -- "The president cannot pardon someone in anticipation of a conviction." -- is a falsehood. From anyone else, I'd consider it a mistake by a dope or uniformed person. 3. Bunter can get a pardon from his dad for anything he did right up to noon on January 20, 2025, whether he's convicted or not or whether he's pled guilty or not.

4. January 20, 2025 is more than 4 months away, so there was no "timed to occur before his dad left office." And, again, it's not even necessary. You'd have to be an uninformed dope to construct such a theory.

5. It would make ZERO sense to plead guilty to anything for purposes of getting a pardon you can get whether you plead guilty or not 4 months later.

6. Bunter could take his chances with a trial. If he prevails, no matter how unlikely that may be, he doesn't need a pardon. If convicted, he can still get pardoned up to January 20, 2025. It would make ZERO sense to plead guilty to anything for purposes of getting a pardon 4 months later.

7. Plenty of other intervening events may happen - Federal Circuit could rule that Special Counsel is un-Constitutional. It would make ZERO sense to plead guilty to anything for purposes of getting a pardon 4 months later.

8. The only family members on witness list are Hallie Biden and Lunden Roberts (baby momma). Neither have an interest in helping Bunter with taxes. No one knows when they would testify or even if they would ever testify. They have nothing to do with a pardon 4 months away.

I'm no expert on the makeup or chronology of all of Trump's losses to the legal system. But 3 things (at least):

1) I'm pretty damn sure that many of them date to before he got into politics.

2) I'm positive that much of the evidence for criming dates to before he got into politics.

3) And even if #2 and #3 weren't true, then if (as many people have pointed out) he was stupid enough to ramp up his shi**y behavior into criminal territory AFTER he obtained THE highest profile job in the world, and DAs can prove it, then........NO KINGS, HAVE AT IT !!!

The threshold for court trial in the US is reasonably high. Evidence must be presented and convince a grand jury, then a jury. Getting to trial means a lot of things showed malfeasance.

If it is a Democrat deep state justice system, why are no other prominent Republicans being prosecuted? Why wasn't Menendez shielded from prosecution? Or Hunter?

I believe in law and order. Accused criminals should be prosecuted and should be allowed to defend themselves and appeal. All of them. If the evidence convinces a judge and jury to convict, I tend to believe them because crimes must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

I personally have no fear of the US justice system because I know I haven't committed any crimes.

We have a choice in November between a person who has spent their life upholding the law, and a person who wants to burn the justice system down and appoint personal/party loyalists at every level of government including judges. If you believe in law and order, the choice is clear.

They should be punished, but the punishment for those convicted of January 6 offenses should be comparable to those given to the BLM rioters and recent protestors in the capitol protesting the Israel / Hamas war. However, the treatment was by and large not proportionate. Consistent with the two tiered justice system during Biden’s tenure that has been biased by one’s political affiliation.
