Do you think 5 Atlantic Region teams will make nationals this year?
I'd say yes but does anyone else have a sense?

I'd say add Bocchino from TCNJ and guarino's brother to list.
SUNYAC's
14 Gentsch, Joe New Paltz St. 26:22.16 14
16 Avery, Matt Brockport St. 26:27.97 16
19 Guarino, Josh Fredonia St. 26:37.61 18
21 Pampena, Nick Oneonta 26:45.99 20
Also don't forget about a couple of other UR guys that could be in mix.
Bocchino was on the previous list as just "TJ"
Dont only 5 go?

no top 7 go to nats minus any qualifying team's runners
Actually NYU's 5th runner was right about where she was last year by place. All their other girls are just alot better. Joan K is legit, they have 2 frosh in the top 5, and Evans seems greatly improved and had a great race. Did they have a good day, yes. At Oberlin their 3-5spread was 14 seconds, at UAA it was 28seconds.Fact is NYU is getting better, very quickly.

why guarino's brother? he's been significantly behind his sibling all season
because he ran with 3 other guys with a shot at sunyacs, as shown in the posters results
Nope. I believe only 4 will qualify for nationals.
I think 5
I'm saying 5 teams. The region has 3 teams ranked in the top 10 and another 2-3 teams that are not -that- far behind. Unless the 5th team is waaaaaay back at Regionals, there will be 5 Atlantic teams going to Nats.

It's kind of a tough call. First, rankings aren't considered or important in making the decisions for nationals. RIT didn't do a whole lot to help their case by not running many out of region teams, just Brandeis and Middlebury at Albany (both of which they soundly beat). Their spread has been decent, but variable. I think that they will go if they just have a good race (not even great) at regionals and get 5th, because they will be relatively close to SLU. If they have an off day (and still manage to get 5th), I think that they're only an outside shot because they'll be too far back.
Sorry Rochester/everyone else, but I think that RIT is the only one that will make it in if they get 5th. (I could see an argument for Plattsburgh, but I think that they are a big long shot to get 5th and they have had a huge spread due to Heymann)
It depends on what happens both at Geneseo and at other regional races (especially New England), but I think that it's more likely that we'll get 5 than 4.
Yet again another dumb ass post by big GAY will.
I don't really think RIT will be that close to SLU at regional. At Saratoga RIT's top 4 wouldn't have better SLU's 5. That seems pretty convincing to me. I think SLU will do a lot better than everybody thinks. They'll be at least closer to 3rd than 5th.
Lee Berube for the atlantic region win. Has run faster than any runner in the region this year.

A little late and I don't know if someone already posted this but there were a couple of Atlantic Region alum that ran really well at the NYC Marathon.
