As do school presidents. The new President at Rice University has finally fired (“resigned”) former Stanford runner and Vin Lananna lap dog, Joe Karlgaard. Karlgaard couldn’t land another AD job in the past few years, so he’s moved on to an LLC CEO gig.
They intentionally decided not to add a sprint coach or other events. They didn't have to have four distance coaches. You know when your sprint coach retire maybe you hire another sprint coach. I don't know of any heavy speed and power event program that has 4 sprint coaches. Maybe you do.
Georgia State hired a coach from a middle school like two years ago and the guy at App just pushed out a coach who had won more conference titles then every other coach in the athletic department it goes both ways.
In reference to Pomona it would be like Florida not renewing Holloway and hiring Gibby as the head. People would also skewer that move. It takes a lot to win a title you don't mess with what works.
She'll probably be fine however. D3 you don't need to readjust scholarships so as long as she makes a good distance hire they'll be fine
