The total time of events at the capital lasted a few hours an about 150 police were injured by people forcing their way past barriers and breaking into the building. Sure you can find a lot of video that has no violence, but there are vids of people beating police, breaking into the building, vandalism, etc. The police made a choice not to fire on the crowd and fall back to a defensible position.
