What the hell was that? This guy has lost it. It was like watching my long dead 92 year-old grandfather trying to answer a question.
The audience gave him a big round of applause for his answer... Let me give you the readers digest take.
1. Excellent question for Trump asking him for a very specific legislative policy that he would support.
2. Trump answer? "Child care is child care".
3. Then he reverts to his global tariffs on everything coming into the country. This is his solution to everything. So much money that nobody will know what to do with it. Trillions of dollars coming in to solve every problem that anybody can ask him. He believes it is a winner even though it is universally panned as an unmitigated disaster for this country.
4. Then a rambling incoherent world salad of meaningless filler talk.
6. Then he wraps up the answer with "Taking care of America because we need to Make America Great Again. Which prompted the insane applause for his batsh!t crazy answer to a specific question.
To borrow Agip's phrase. We are doomed. We are not doomed because Trump is the stupidest leader we could possibly produce. We are doomed because a portion of the country think that was a great answer.
Jesus H Christ. There is almost nobody on this board who will get a promotion or a new job if Kamala is elected. The board is 90% white males. You know, the guys who have been getting passed over for promotions in favor of women and minorities. The progressives who run the companies are under severe pressure to make their workplaces "look like America" instead of hiring the best person for the job. Your fathers did not have to live under these rules, and you won't either. The corporate leadership does not want to live under woke rules. They want Kamala defeated so they can have the most qualified and talented staffs in their companies. DEI is the Death to Enterprise Initiative. Without DEI I would be making 30K more and be getting RSUs and Options. Politics is self interest and I am interested in getting ahead.
Based on the way you write, you’re never going to be the “best person for the job” and the only way you’re going to make $30k more is if you start flipping burgers at Wendy’s while you’re not making fries at McDonald’s.
Not even the heaviest dressing can make this salad go down any easier. just remember, every accusation is a confession.
"If you win in November, can you commit to prioritizing legislation to make childcare affordable, and if so, what specific piece of legislation would you advance?”
“Well, I would do that, and we’re sitting down, and I was, somebody, we had Senator Marco Rubio, and my daughter Ivanka was so impactful on that issue. It’s a very important issue. But I think when you talk about the kind of numbers that I’m talking about, that, because, look, child care is child care is. It’s, couldn’t, you know, there’s something, you have to have it. In this country you have to have it.”
Don't say I didn't warn you. We are now 60 days away from the election and another week is gone and again, Reek failed to make a dent in Harris' momentum. Instead, we saw the Reek camp pack up and call it over in several states to focus solely on PA. They are also now relying on Reek's debate performance for a come back.
He's headed for a nasty loss and so are Rs.
The absolute best he can do in the debate is repeat the same 10 tired lines but without expounding. Thst is impossible. And this time the split screen is going highlight his senility and Harris' youth and sharpness. Reek is going to get pounded in the a$$. It's only a question of how badly.

True. A large segment of our population has abandoned capacity for independent assessment and enthusiastically relies on Trump to think for them and to tell them what their values are. This cult like behavior is a conman's dream. Trump can not do or say anything wrong to them. If Trump speaks gibberish, they still love it.
But Trump's embrace and adoration of Elan Musk may be a pivotal moment in this race. Trump may need the support of the world's richest man after he loses this election, that's understandable. But to middle-class workers, not in the cult, his love of Elan reeks of elitism and is contrary to working class values. Compounding this is the tape of the two of them laughing at the firing striking workers.
Trump knows he will probably lose this election and is preparing.
Imagine if Trump won the election. He is immediately a lame duck President that does not have to worry about the voters again. (Let's set aside the fact that he will likely not leave office in 2028). We can see his advisors telling him that he most certainly should not enact a 10% tariff and demolish or economy and our industries. They try to explain to him that his promises made on the campaign trail don't matter because he is now elected and doesn't need their vote again.
Trump is the kind of narcissistic deranged fool that would still implement a 10% tariff for no other reason that he has to be right. He thinks he is smarter than all the worlds' economists and truly believes it is "free money that governments pay us" that are not paid for by consumers.

Your candidate is Kamala Harris.
You keep forgetting that Trump only needs to be smarter than you which is a very very very very low bar.
she can raise as much money as she wants, she still sucks in front of the camera, she still has a far left voting record from her days in the senate, there is still plenty of tape out there with her affirming her support for far left policies, etc. There are a number of reasons why she got butchered in the Democratic primary in 2020, and not much has changed other than her failure on the border. If you had an actual primary you may have gotten a candidate worth supporting. Instead, you got this:
