Because Texas is offering real money. $600k plus for the director position. Not many people will turn that down. It will either be Edrick Floreal or Robert Johnson.

Bev Kearney was making close to $300k several years ago before she was terminated as the Texas women's coach.

Give it a rest. Charlie Strong was fired because he was poorly organized, did not pay attention to detail, lost way too many football games, and even lost at Kansas. Texas has had minorities as head coaches in different sports, so nobody is buying what you are insinuating.

There are not many assistants in the country that are making salaries like these, but good for them. Texas has deep pockets so everyone mentioned is probably "interested"

Maybe Babbitt finally wants to be a Head Coach.

Washington is not going to Dave they are looking else where., he is a last option. Arkansas The buck at Arkansas is interested in a couple openings and really wants Washington . Texas Ad’s were all hanging at the track today., kind of unusual to see that take place.

You're obviously not in the know. The contract offered to Mouse and Edrick was actually much higher than $600k per year.

Seriously? The 750k number has been kicked around for almost a month. That number is very much in line with their other staff salaries.

I have no idea if Petros is actually interested, but I'd take 750k in Austin over 180k in Athens in a heartbeat.
