So what changes do you think will be in the national poll this week?
I see Geneseo snagging Cortland's #2 spot, and Cortland getting bumped to 3rd. NYU should hopefully be recognized and move up at least to top 5. St. Lawrence probably will not move more than a couple spots in either direction, and I wouldn't be surprised to see RIT to flirt with getting dropped from the list.

I'd be immensely surprised to see Gen at #2. At this point in the season, an upset is much more likely to move the loser down than to move the winner up.
geneseo will still move up at least one if cortlandt moves down, into third
Lacrosse will be #2 I would imagine, Geneseo, Stevens Point, Cortland , NYU will probably bump Allegheny.
1. NCC
2. UW-Lacrosse
3. SUNY Geneseo
4. UW-Stevens Point
5. SUNY Cortland
6. NYU
7. Allegheny
St. Lawrence probably isn't really going anywhere.
SUNY Plattsburgh will fall off.
RIT will fall a few spots.
Wouldn't be too, too surprised to see Rochester on there being 12 points off of Brandeis.
Fredonia's stock is rising, 3rd behind the (current) US#4 and US#2 despite barely breaking up their scorers might mean something. Also soundly beat #34 SUNY Plattsburgh. Enough to get on the poll? That reamins to be seen.
7 teamswould be pretty optimistic thinking but I wouldn't find it all that farfetched.
The school's name is "Cortland."
The park's name is "Van Cortlandt."
RIT and SLU will both hold relatively steady, I think. Cortland will drop down to 5, Geneseo will move up to 3, NYU might move up a little, but I doubt it.

Can't wait for the Regional meet!
National rankings finally out:
http://www.ustfccca.org/assets/rankings/div3/2009-xc/09-d3-mxc-national-week8.pdf
SUNYG now #3, Cortland #4, NYU unchanged (predictably enough) at #7. SLU and RIT drop to #17 and #27, respectively.
On the women's side, SLU (#6) and Gen (#9) unchanged; NYU moves up eight places to #20, IC down to #25; TCNJ stays at #27.
Even though the NYU women acquitted themselves unexpectedly well in a very tough meet, I was surprised to see them moved up so much. Guess that contradicts my idea that it's easy to drop fast, but much harder to move up.
[Of course, moving up is a lot tougher among the top 12 or so. The WashU women *won* that UAA race, and still fell to #8 this week--presumably as "punishment" for not defeating the other five nationally-ranked teams more handily. CWRU's reward for finishing perhaps a bit closer to WUStL than expected in that race? Dropping two places!]
In the D2 Atlantic Region, it's gonna be Edinboro: http://d2cross.blogspot.com/

You mean drugball.
Yes but the NYU women were only 14 points behind Case, if NYU's 5 girl is a bit closer to 3 and 4 its real tight. Thats why CASE fell, I dont know Wash women team that well, but I think they ran without one of their top 7 maybe? Case had 3 before Wash U 2nd.

They were do close to case because they had an excellent day. NYU's 5th runner had a great race and their 3 and 4 had a better than great race. I find it almost impossible for them to have done any better.
You do realize, NYU's women's programs changed hands within the past year. In less then 12 months McDonough has take them from being the laughing stock of the UAA to a potential top 20 team.
Wait till he starts recruiting, I would not be surprised to see a championship out of them in the next 5 years (similiar to what he has done with the guys program.)
