If the same happens to you I hope everyone feels the same way.
Dawg, Trump supporters already feel that way when it happens to the left. How many people on the right came out hard against the Republican that assassinated 2 Democratic lawmakers in Minnesota? Did you? Trump said it was a "waste of time" to call the governor, Tim Walz, afterwards. Does that sound like turning down the temperature to you?
Look man, I take your point here. But the major difference is nobody knew who these MN lawmakers were. Everybody knew who Charlie Kirk was and he’s not a politician. He was able to amass a cult following akin to another non-politician, one Jon Stewart, who, while also condescending with his rhetoric toward those he disagreed with, also invited spirited, INFORMED, robust debate.
I have friends all across the political aisle. Yet, not once have I ever heard a Republican friend utter they wished an Obama or Biden were dead or that, had Jon Stewart been murdered in cold blood, it was “Karma” and he had it coming. I, myself, would be horrified if a great talent like a Stewart or Colbert were killed, in the name of politics especially.
Yet, here we have this thread with all kinds of vile Democratic FAFO and he deserved it, and I heard it from Lib friends all day. The most horrifying part are their Gen Z kids, trafficking in hate on their phones, unable to make eye contact, perpetually micro-aggressed, rudderless, nihilists with no moral compass saying Kirk deserved it. Sorry man, that’s completely reprehensible and unforgivable.
Again, blame Rs all you want, but do a little introspection first so you can maybe start to realize how we got here. Authoritarianism started long before now.

The response to the Minnesota shootings by fellow lawmakers like Mike Lee set the standard. GenZ is just following their example
Vance Boelter was a registered independent and was an acquaintance of, and appointed by, governor Tim Walz because of his hard left views that dovetailed with Mr Walz’s communist leanings. Yet the media tries to portray him as a “republican” lol. The other big Minn shooter was of course leftist, being trans and all and targeting children as leftists are wont to do. Like the Biden Admin acting as child traffickers. Leftists.
Most of the unhinged folks shooting people are lunatic leftists who enjoy a modicum of protection in that the media will always claim they are on the right politically or a Trump supporter, when in fact they’re usually people who hate all that is normal because they themselves are so abnormal and screwed up in many ways. They and their enablers simply hate America. Ugly people, mentally and much of the time physically as well.
Not just the media tried to Portray Vance as a “republican”. He himself personally also portrayed himself as a “republican” in Oklahoma in 2004! And told a friend he voted for Trump!
golly you MAGAs are such sheep. Also you are breaking news with you allegation Vance and GOVERNOR Waltz were acquaintances: do you have any proof to back that up?
just a reminder that Kirk deserves absolutely no sympathy. Here he is calling for a "patriot" to bail out the guy who tried to assassinate Nancy Pelosi, and beat her husband near to death with a hammer. You reap what you sow. The right has needed to turn down the temperature for years, and if they don't, the sad reality is that political assassinations will only become more commonplace, as they already have been with Trump's attempted assassination (by a Republican), and the two Minnesota lawmakers who were assassinated (by a Republican). Not to mention the attempted assassination on Nancy Pelosi that Charlie Kirk endorsed.
You are disgusting. Kirk is gone, but everyone should absolutely have sympathy for his wife and children. I am a democrat but we should put politics aside in these moments.
Rojo should track the IP addresses of everyone celebrating this and report them to the FBI. Actually, the FBI is probably already monitoring all of you.............
I absolutely have sympathy for his wife and kids. I just don't have any for Kirk. I can't imagine losing my father to a school shooting, especially such a high profile case. I can't imagine how awful it would be to lose my girlfriend in a school shooting (closest I have to a spouse). I have a lot of sympathy for them. I just have absolutely 0 sympathy for Charlie Kirk himself, and he doesn't deserve any.
Literally he said gun deaths were worth it for the 2nd amendment. He fought hard against any gun control, and he supported political assassinations of Nancy Pelosi, saying a "Patriot" needed to bail the assassinator out of jail. He chose a hill to die on, and he died on it.
I'm not celebrating his death. I'm saying he's not a hero, he helped create the environment that led to his death, and he deserves no sympathy for it.

We can only hope. The Party of crime and hatred. Sad

And you are happy about it. You aren't as smart as you would like to believe. Do better.

Donald Trump himself joked about Paul Pelosi getting nearly beat to death by a hammer. Charlie Kirk said a "Patriot" needed to bail the assassinator out. Can we agree that the leader of the Republican party, that all Republicans just voted for, joked about political violence against his opponents, and his supporters still voted for him?
Where is that on the left? Newsom came out yesterday immediately and condemned all political violence. Where are the Democratic leaders joking about Kirk's death?
Republicans need to do a little introspection, and realize that supporting the guy who tried to overthrow the government, and pardoned the thousands of violent rioters who tried to overthrow the government, are on camera beating up police, and on camera breaking windows to get into the capitol, is turning up the temperature. Donald Trump saying "You need to fight or you're going to lose your country" to 50,000 supporters, then sending them down to the capitol isn't turning down the temperature.
I still haven't supported political violence. I'm still against it. That's exactly why I have 0 sympathy for Kirk, because he supported it. Show me any Democrat advocating for political violence and I'll say the same thing about them.

Yeah. I disagree with many of your running takes, but here, on a more important matter than running, you have nailed it. You will be downvoted by the morons, but you are correct sir!

Im betting my life that you have never said something that you regret or didn't mean? Maybe you were tired, sad, depressed..at the time and fired off. BUT it truly isn't who you are. Is this tribalism really worth it?

FFS . Democrats have done it over and over again. Done with you Sis.

You have a low IQ. For one, most here are not celebrating Kirk’s death. But even if there were, the FBI has nothing to do with it, as there is no crime in celebrating a crime. You must be stupid.
Im betting my life that you have never said something that you regret or didn't mean? Maybe you were tired, sad, depressed..at the time and fired off. BUT it truly isn't who you are. Is this tribalism really worth it?
I want an end to the political violence. The right needs to do some introspection and realize they're the ones constantly turning up the temperature. If they can't do that, then we're only going to see more assassinations. That's not a tribalistic statement, because it's going to be tit-for-tat, and it already is. It's already going back and forth, with Jan 6th, then Trump getting shot at, the MN lawmakers being assassinated, and now Kirk being assassinated. My bet is a left-wing lawmakers or influencer is the next one to get assassinated by a Republican, and if the right doesn't condemn it as hard as Gavin Newsom (saying all political violence is reprehensible), then it's just going to keep happening.
That's why I don't want to glorify Kirk, because you're glorifying someone who advocated for political violence.
The left has essentially declared war on our entire way of life in America. And they have shown they will use any means necessary, including military attacks and murder, to get what they have always wanted - which is the total destruction of America.
