Braelyn Combe is your girl’s 1600 champ in 4:35 and Thomson taking second in 4:35. Then we have a lot of low 4:40s to high 4:40s. I’m extremely impressed with Giselle Fernandez (Riverbank) running 4:43 in 6th. That Fernandez blood is strong

Wow, only a junior too.
Antonio was the only other nonsenior in the boys 1600 finals, and he took 7th.
In XC the top 15 times at the state meet were by seniors.

I think it's safe to say that Antonio and Lott will have a great battle next year. It's hard to say if anyone else will be close, especially if zavaleta focuses on the 3200m and the jesuit boys don't improve soon, but there's always some new guys that pop up.

Yeah he went to Madera South. This school is in the same district as Matilda Torres, the school that opened in 2020, and it’s already one of the fastest teams in the state

Because the guys manning the camera don't seem to know where to point it sometimes, I missed it but I saw the clouds floating by. When the announcer mentioned it I knew a DQ was coming.
