Looking for some names for a coach who overachieves in a difficult situation- distance- who is getting it done in spite of the challenges before them- need names for a hire list
Is this so you can continue to pay someone a low salary and underfund a program but expect them to win without the resources that the winning programs have? Asking for a friend?

This is such a sorry excuse in our profession. Either get your hands dirty and learn how to work or leave the profession. There are plenty of people who I am sure have done WAY MORE with way less resource's than you. That’s probably why they have the job they do and you don’t. Complain all you want, but nothing comes easy in our profession.
Not at all- pay is very solid- but there are definitely non-negotiables- things that can't change- ie location, facilities etc. You sound like a big baby.
Yes - Whiny generation for sure sadly. Want everything to come easy. They would not make it in our profession back in the 70's-90's. Had to earn it with much much lower pay standards of today. We did it for the love of our sport and to give back. Those days are gone...

Serious Question - no agenda. Can you briefly describe the work expectations, program vision, and salary range?

I could give you several names including mine... but tell us why first?

Hard to know what you are looking for.
In the SoCon, Sun Belt, Atlantic Sun you see some programs who produce conference champs and occasional National Qualifiers where it is hot and humid and recruiting can be tough for non P5s.

If you are willing to share, what state or region of the country and what level of competition?
Something I like to do every summer during this season of musical chairs is put names with the big jobs and let people start arguing about whether I am right or not. I have no knowledge of any of these things. It's just fun to speculate.

UCLA - Robert Johnson
Florida State - Erik Jenkins
Kansas State - Nic Peterson
Boise State - Forest Braden
BU - Jordan Carpenter
Yale - Alex Gibby
I really like Robert for that UCLA job and Erik for the Florida State Job.
Jenkins is running the most successful program in the country outside the P5.
This has merit, but arguable. In terms of team placing over the entire XC/T&F program Charlotte is better than USF and are in the same conference. Yes, the USF men dominated outdoor and indoor this year, but Charlotte's women won and the men were 2nd in both.
In XC it isn't even close; Charlotte took 2nd in both while USF was 8th in both
MXC WXC MI WI MO WO
Charlotte 2nd 2nd 2nd 1st 2nd 1st
USF 8th 8th 1st 3rd 1st 3rd
Of course, conference team placing is only one metric, but an important one that cannot be ignored. And in this metric, Charlotte was better this year than USF.
Until Jenkins can figure out how to obtain meaningful production from distance, this will be an Achilles heel point in his programs; it was at WKU and continues to be at USF.
That all being said, he is doing a great job and would be worthy of consideration.
