Word from Eugene over the weekend is that Robert Johnson is in talks with Portland State. He’s attempting to strong arm them into $70k and performance bonuses for meeting sport sponsorship. Stay tuned…
Lots of D2s starting phone interviews this week, CUI being one of them. Also there seem to be a lot of older coaches contemplating retirement before contracts are re-upped in July. I know that happens every year but from who i've talked to heard at least 5 bigger names thinking about stepping away.

Does anyone know what Kyle is doing next? Seems like a great coach.
Other than being gifted a great team from Jordan and Boston before him, all he’s done is simply not screw up. It’s honestly hard to know if he’s truly a great coach or if the team he was handed was great and he just knew how to not screw them up
Well that's because those programs have won National Track and Field Championships with Sprint, Hurdles, Relays, and Jumps. Most sprint coaches don't have a fit about Notre Dame having several distance coaches
Yeah, most sprint coaches don't worry about Notre Dame because they don't have any sprinters or sprint coaches anymore. There was a time when they had All-Americans in all event areas. All the high academic sprinters go to Duke and Stanford now.
They intentionally decided not to add a sprint coach or other events. They didn't have to have four distance coaches. You know when your sprint coach retire maybe you hire another sprint coach. I don't know of any heavy speed and power event program that has 4 sprint coaches. Maybe you do.

Georgia State hired a coach from a middle school like two years ago and the guy at App just pushed out a coach who had won more conference titles then every other coach in the athletic department it goes both ways.
In reference to Pomona it would be like Florida not renewing Holloway and hiring Gibby as the head. People would also skewer that move. It takes a lot to win a title you don't mess with what works.
She'll probably be fine however. D3 you don't need to readjust scholarships so as long as she makes a good distance hire they'll be fine
