This thread was deleted by a volunteer moderator. I certainly don't want a thread this big deleted so I've restored. THat being said, this thread has served it's purpose. I've closed it to new posts.
We have a new 2024 vaccine thread here. New people don't need to try to wade through 20,000 posts to figure out what is going on.
The chair at UCSF dept of medicine recommends taking Paxlovid even if you’re healthy and you catch Covid because it may reduce chances of long Covid. He himself said he would take it should he get Covid, but you know I guess he must be paid off by big Pharma, right?
Novartis, Biogen, Bayer. That's only three of them.
What pharmaceutical company is NOT corrupt to its core ?
Decisions about your health care riding on a lap dance.
The pharmaceutical company spent more than $100 million on lavish meals, fishing junkets, golf outings, sporting events and speaker fees to influence doctors to prescribe its drugs, federal prosecutors said.
US pharmaceutical company Biogen has reached a $900 million settlement with a whistleblower who accused the firm of having paid bribes to doctors to encourage them to prescribe its drugs against multiple sclerosis.
After nearly two decades of litigation, Bayer agreed to pay $40 million to settle a pair of whistleblower lawsuits that accused the company of paying kickbacks to doctors and downplaying drug safety risks.
I’m not doubting the veracity of your 0.02% chance of career altering effects of Covid infection for a data point such as Djokovic. However, can you provide data for this?
Are these vax guys actually still taking the recommended boosters?
How many shots have they had by now?
At my annual physical the doctors are still recommending the vaccine. Most anti-VAX though probably can’t afford a physical because they are too worried about surprise billing is my guess, paranoia surrounding medicine, or maybe Medicaid doesn’t cover.

Of course UCSF is paid by Big Pharma.
Seems like every politician who took paxlovid came came down with Covid within 2 weeks

Most of the ones I know (medical docs)have had six (probably four of the regular and two of the bivalent, if I am remembering the timeline correctly ) and have yet to catch Covid. So They don’t appear to be dying suddenly. Personal observation is that the ones in my circle (medical docs who have been vaxxed 4-6 times) who eventually came down with Covid (mild case anyway) tend to live and work in high density areas. I don’t really associate with any anti-vax or know any myself IRL except my Uber driver (appear to be a nut job talking about Nuremberg 2.0 trials) and maybe my barber (she’s a democrat and said she only got two….based on false stuff she said to me as she was cutting my hair, I think she got spooked by certain whack job news sources and is skeptical of pharma companies etc).
I know many non vaxxed people and not one of them got hospitalized due to Covid. Ands that's the truth unlike your claim that the docs you know who have had six jabs so far have never gotten Covid
SARS-CoV-2 infection can lead to a diverse array of chronic symptoms, collectively termed ‘long COVID’. In this Review, Altmann and colleagues explore current thinking about the pathophysiology of long COVID and discuss poten...
It's over, antivaxxers lose. The vaccines ended the pandemic and have relegated covid to a flu. Antivaxxers are so mad they'd rather us return to the days of thousands of people dying a day in the US in order to cope and alleviate the seething they feel at the success of the vaccines they've had a hard on for for so long. Sad!

My understanding is you take Paxlovid immediately after you come down with Covid so that the severity is potentially lessened. It is known though that there is a “rebound effect” where paxlovid can sometimes prolong some of the mild symptoms from Covid a few more days as you’re recovering. Paxlovid was free from the US govt so we all paid for it right? Last year many drug stores were low on stock of Paxlovid-I had to drive around to about 2-3 to find it.

Omicron ended the pandemic. Ironically countries with higher booster rates post omicron have higher infection rates post omicron.

- So the reason they are ignored at FDA advisory committee meetings is their data is sh*t and it’s never anything that’s from a properly designed RCT. so they will just say “big pharma” controls so that’s why.
- Or …doctors risk losing licensure if they don’t push the vaccines, because again, “big pharma.” But you only have like 17000 in the world (very small number)out of all of the medical doctors thinking the vaccines are dangerous and speaking out about it. For this to be true you have to start believing medical doctors didn’t actually get the actual vaccines in their arms - because they fear the jab themselves - some wackos do but not many- and possibly that they are holding some big secret such as 🤫 “shh… we know the vax is dangerous but we can’t say anything- or we can try to post anonymously online about it to podcasters - because we need our six plus figure incomes and we’re afraid of losing a license/wrecking career.” Again crazy but I guess that’s what they think? Why not actually give arguments to the FDA as to why they’re dangerous instead of spreading stuff on social media?

You were vaxxed how many times ?
I'm 63. No vaxxes. No paxlovid. No testing. My only illness since the madness started was a mild 2 day omicron infection in January 2022.
Hope you made the best decision for yourself. I sure made the best decision for myself.
I’ll be darned… Djokovic, the intelligent poster boy for natural immunity among the nonelderly, nonobese, nondiabetic, nonimmunocompromised was vexed after all.
