my understanding is that the large subsidies the ACA provides to poor people will go away or be much smaller. So many poor people won't be able to afford insurance any more.

Starting in 2020, the plan would do away with the current system of providing premium subsidies based on people’s income and the cost of insurance where they live. Instead, it would provide tax credits of $2,000 to $4,000 per year based on their age. But the credits would not cover nearly as much of the cost of premiums as the current subsidies do, at least for the type of comprehensive coverage that the Affordable Care Act requires, analysts said. For many people, that could mean the difference between keeping coverage under the new system and having to give it up.

It's an almost certainty that a new healthcare law will not be implemented.

But they do have the numbers to repeal the current law and go back to simply having open markets to get healthcare with no government involvement.

I do not think they will repeal it.

If they don't repeal it, some Republican congressmen will be primaried out of a job next year. Their replacements may get elected and Republicans can still hold their seats.

If they do repeal it without a replacement, I think Democrats will pick up a lot of seats.

Either way, some current house members will be out of a job for failure to repeal and replace.

he tried to reduce constitutional rights with the travel ban, and that's why the courts struck it down.

He wants to reduce freedom of speech (I will loosen libel laws, he says), he wants to end judicial oversight of the executive branch ("so-called judge"/miller saying that the power of the president will not be challenged), he wants to inflict cruel and unusual punishment (waterboarding - WORSE than waterboarding),

I could go on. People are contributing to the ACLU to stop trump from doing what he says he wants to do. You have a problem with that, seriously?

1) Did the Russians tamper with the election with the hopes of skewing it for Trump? Yes. That is inarguable as all intelligence agencies have said this happened.

2) Do I believe that was the reason Trump won? No.

3) Do I believe Trump is the worst person ever elected President? Yes.

4) Do I believe that anyone who voted for him was scammed by him? Yep. The people he has put in place are all part of the swamp. There has been no draining. They are also among the dumbest people ever so appointed. And, what few policies and promises of policies he has been able to enact, they all benefit well-educated people like me who have money in the stock market, not the working-class person.

5) Mexico won't pay for a wall. Trump will not bring 25+ million jobs back (we're at full employment right now...pretty hard to do better than that).

6) Trump voters believe that manufacturing has disappeared in the US. This is not true. US manufacturing just produced its biggest output ever in the last quarter. Those manufacturing jobs are gone mostly due to automation (robotics). It isn't 1990 anymore.
